Jasper's Java — Restaurant in Bloomington

I’ve been coming to jaspers for a few months now and had a few bad experiences (some repeated scenarios) so can’t give perfect 5. The coffee is typically good but found it being a bit more expensive compared to other shops of the same quality. A handful of times I’ve been here, I’ve come during a lunch break and found myself stuck in the drive through for more than 15 minutes while workers are just chatting with customers. I know this because it’s happened to myself. They are very friendly people so I will give 4 stars for that. Another issue that has me debating if I even want to go back is how they make their iced lattes. I recently asked for an extra espresso shot in my latte and the barista explained to me that they don’t use espresso in their lattes and it’s a cold brew concentrate? I had never heard of that before. That’s probably the biggest turn off to a coffee shops I’ve ever had. Maybe I’m a coffee snob but I def want espresso...

Hello, I tried sending an email and got no response.

Had the first opportunity to patronize your coffee shop. We were at a track meet for our granddaughter and it was really cold outside. The concession stand didn't have any hot beverages so we took a short break (which took longer than expected) as the line was long. I ordered large hot chocolate and my fiance got a large black coffee. We left to go back to track meet and when we tried our "hot" drinks they were barely warm. The staff was great. Very friendly. This was my first time here, and I assumed it was an 'order on this side, get drink on the other side' situation. It's not, lol. She walked the drinks out to me anyway as I sat in the other line. So I'm sure that if I had asked them to fix my drinks, they would have. However, I didn't try them until I was home. That said, all I could taste was chocolate...like I had just turned up a bottle of Hersheys syrup. I ordered some chocolate / bourbon something or other. And my wife's latte was like melted ice cream. Looked like milk.
