I've been going to this particular jjs since I moved to Bloomington. Everything has been great until recently. The last two times I've gone they've messed up my sandwich. It wasn't even the things I added to the sandwich but it was the things that should have automatically came on the sandwich that were missing. Personally I'm not normally offended by this. I am a previous worker for the company. A worker of 8 years to be exact so I know what I get on my sandwich. When I went back in to let them know and have them remake it I was nice and polite, but I was not met with the same attitude. I get a Number 7 no oregano, add pickles, and jalapeno ranch. This particular day I got an unwich. When I opened it it had cucumber on it (I have never liked cucumber on my sandwiches, even if I were to get a 12 I would take the cucumbers off) no hot peppers or onions to be seen which is my favorite part of the sandwich, so I took it back in. I was met with the worst attitude. I watched her remake the sandwich and throw at least 10 (or more) pickles onto the unwich and a ton of hot peppers. As I waited there was another woman that was working stood at one of the registers just glaring at me. I don't see myself being in the wrong when I paid for my meal and the meal was not prepared correctly. There were also no other customers in the store when I came back in so I didn't understand why the attitude was so much. I finally got my sandwich and left. At this point I didn't care if it was still made wrong because I didn't want to deal with the looks anymore. I opened it up and it was of course soaked but guess what? It still didn't have...
Read moreAs you can see from my profile, I donât write bad reviews pretty much at all. Especially of food places. Being a teacher and working in customer/food service for years, I know the world is short staffed and long waits or increased prices are expected. But I was last at this location on Monday of last week. There was one guy there. I didnât mind. The thing was, the guy was really negative and angry. I was picking out toppings and about to list them off and he told me to step to the side and let other people order. Thatâs not a huge deal. where i got really upset is there was a guy who came in who clearly was blind or had cataracts. He grabbed a soda cup and put a few coins in the tip jar. The guy behind the counter got really angry at him. I donât remember if there was swearing, but there was some raising of voices and yelling by the employee. It felt very tense. It ends up the guy couldnât see, and he had grabbed the wrong cup. And the guy behind the counter didnât apologize for getting angry or not clarifying. He just continued justifying his actions. It felt extremely tense and was the first time Iâve left a restaurant because of the atmosphere.
I understand burnout, especially working by yourself in the food business. I worked Uber Eats for a while and in customer service for years. But yelling, especially at a guy who couldnât see and not apologizing, just really rubbed me the wrong way. No matter how angry I get, i would never think to yell at people, especially when theyâre down on their luck.
I still like Jimmy Johns, but I couldnât justify going back to...
Read moreThis place has really gone down hill. I worked at this location for years, and my team always strived to do right by the customers, make good food, and get it to customers as fast as was possible. After this location was bought off by another franchise, service quality has severely diminished. I will let the experience earlier this year off easy (receiving a totally incorrect order), and another occasion where I went in to get my food and the manager (presumably, it was a woman at the slicer, which used to be a managerâs task) was screaming and cussing at someone on their personal phone, but just now I had a situation where we placed an order online, had it confirmed, and waited over an hour and a half with no food. Ordered at 4:54pm, and didnât hear anything, so I decided to call at 6:30. I find out after I called that they donât have a delivery driver, so they voided out our order sometime before 5:20 and neglected to call and inform us that our dinner would not in fact be coming at all. I would have appreciated a call saying something like âhey sorry, we donât actually have a driver in so we are unable to deliver your food. If youâd like, we can have it available for you to pick up,â so I didnât have to sit here for over an hour wondering when we are going to get our dinner. Absolute clown fiesta happening at this location, and I will be avoiding it from here on out. Perhaps another franchise needs to pick this location up and breathe some new life into it, as itâs been bad experience after bad experience...
