I had a fantastic experience but felt I left a bad impression so I wanted to leave a review! I was in Bloomington for the day for work and stopped in to eat before leaving town. I was so excited to find a Korean restaurant that wasnât kbbq (no offense we love kbbq but itâs difficult as a vegetarian.) I ordered kimchijeon (kimchi pancake) and japchae (potato glass noodles.) Firstly, the portions were very generous. I was intimidated by the size of the kimchijeon but it was so delicious I had to stop myself from eating too much so I could enjoy the rest of my food. The banchan were delicious. They were kind enough to modify the japchae to come with tofu instead of meat. The noodles had the satisfying starchiness and the tofu was amazing. I hated to leave anything on my plate but I ate until I physically couldnât anymore (and then some.) When I didnât want a box, one of the staff asked if I didnât like it, which couldnât be further from the truth! I knew the leftovers wouldnât fare well on the hour drive back to my hotel, otherwise I couldnât have left it behind! I appreciated the staffâs kindness and concern with my experience. It was exactly what Iâd been craving for weeks. I hope to be back in Bloomington soon because I will be dining in again. I highly recommend đ

Read moreI just went to K-bap for the first time, and it truly brightened my day! I recommend to anyone who likes good food and connecting with kind people.
I had ordered ahead via DoorDash, but due to some glitch, the order didn't go through. This was no problem because the chef made my order in under 10 minutes, just long enough to chat with the man working at the counter. He was kind and genuine, and I learned that he played professional baseball in South Korea. When the chef was done, she asked me if I like jjajangmyeon (my order). I told her I love it, and with a big smile, she gave me a Coke. What a truly connective and joyful experience!
And WOW the jjajangmyeon is good! Noodles bouncy, sauce flavorful, meat and veggies perfectly cooked. I can't...
Read moreWe had an order of bulgogi, gyoza, and egg rolls (banchan and rice were included) that came to $34 and for 2 people we had basically 2 meals each. Everything was very flavorful and of good quality. Notably, other Korean restaurants in town use way too much sugar, but KBAP did not, thankfully! We like it so much that we are considering as the place we want to have our anniversary dinner! The lady doing front of house was so nice and communicative, too. Additionally, the place was pretty full with Korean people eating there, so that validates, in a way, the quality of the food, as there are some Korean restaurants in town where you only see local-non-Asians...
