Pretty good Korean restaurant. We came for lunch and it was not crowded. We ordered seafood pancake, a combination of tofu soup and galbi, and japchae. It serves unlimited refillnof banchan Overall, the food is good. The Galbi is a bit chewy. Seafood pancake is good, but they only served soy sauce as the dipping until we asked for proper seafood pancake dipping d Sauce. Tofu soup is good. Japchae is ok. I prefer to have it at room temperature.

This place has only been open a week and they were getting so many people in the door already! Of course they're still figuring things out but the service was great and extremely kind. Food came out quick and it was sooo tasty. We got the kimchi pancake, yaki soba, and sundubu tofu soup. I will definitely be back this month.

While it took a little while to get the food, it was really amazing! Our server was very friendly even though he seemed overworked. We are definitely going to go back again, so much wonderful flavor. The atmosphere is okay, everything looks a little secondhand, but it certainly adds to the place's charm.

I had a fantastic experience but felt I left a bad impression so I wanted to leave a review! I was in Bloomington for the day for work and stopped in to eat before leaving town. I was so excited to find a Korean restaurant that wasn’t kbbq (no offense we love kbbq but it’s difficult as a vegetarian.) I ordered kimchijeon (kimchi pancake) and japchae (potato glass noodles.) Firstly, the portions were very generous. I was intimidated by the size of the kimchijeon but it was so delicious I had to stop myself from eating too much so I could enjoy the rest of my food. The banchan were delicious. They were kind enough to modify the japchae to come with tofu instead of meat. The noodles had the satisfying starchiness and the tofu was amazing. I hated to leave anything on my plate but I ate until I physically couldn’t anymore (and then some.) When I didn’t want a box, one of the staff asked if I didn’t like it, which couldn’t be further from the truth! I knew the leftovers wouldn’t fare well on the hour drive back to my hotel, otherwise I couldn’t have left it behind! I appreciated the staff’s kindness and concern with my experience. It was exactly what I’d been craving for weeks. I hope to be back in Bloomington soon because I will be dining in again. I highly recommend 💗

I just went to K-bap for the first time, and it truly brightened my day! I recommend to anyone who likes good food and connecting with kind people.

I had ordered ahead via DoorDash, but due to some glitch, the order didn't go through. This was no problem because the chef made my order in under 10 minutes, just long enough to chat with the man working at the counter. He was kind and genuine, and I learned that he played professional baseball in South Korea. When the chef was done, she asked me if I like jjajangmyeon (my order). I told her I love it, and with a big smile, she gave me a Coke. What a truly connective and joyful experience!

And WOW the jjajangmyeon is good! Noodles bouncy, sauce flavorful, meat and veggies perfectly cooked. I can't...

We had an order of bulgogi, gyoza, and egg rolls (banchan and rice were included) that came to $34 and for 2 people we had basically 2 meals each. Everything was very flavorful and of good quality. Notably, other Korean restaurants in town use way too much sugar, but KBAP did not, thankfully! We like it so much that we are considering as the place we want to have our anniversary dinner! The lady doing front of house was so nice and communicative, too. Additionally, the place was pretty full with Korean people eating there, so that validates, in a way, the quality of the food, as there are some Korean restaurants in town where you only see local-non-Asians...
