Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Bloomington

Left wisconsin on Saturday morning, arrived in Cincinnati, Ohio 11pm with two semi truck trailer loads of Christmas 🎄 trees. Slept in the trucks in parking lot, peeps showed up at 7am to unload about 1800 Christmas 🎄 trees took about 6 hours. Left there headed to Bloomington, Indiana about 3 hours away. Got room at courtyard Marriott for the night. Got hot shower, decided to order pizza, cheese bread, plain wings, 2 sodas called in the order at 6:42pm, about 7:30 pm still no delivery, so I called push number 2 check ur order said should arrive between 8:02 -8:12pm , okay like okay, continued to watch TV 📺, 8:30 pm I called papa John's trying to speak with someone nope not happening, so I called from different number and they answer, WOW....do they forward your number in there system 🙂????? manager tells me been delivered 😀, like no it hasn't, tells me to check at the door on the floor, Door dash says it was delivered, like no I didn't use door dash, how they get paid, cause I was paying cash...he apologized said busy from the game and now there slow and can reorder and deliver it now by this time it's been 2 hours since we ordered 😀, I'm like noway and hung up. So whoever got our order last night I hope they enjoyed it. I will be contacting corporate...

Order was cancelled without warning. When calling they said the driver tried to call me (didn't recieve a call). It was contactless delivery - never heard a knock despite being by the door. I was called 18 minutes after ordering right at closing saying the driver called and the order was canceled because I didn't pickup.

First, the time frame doesnt match up. Even if it went in the oven immediately there's no way the driver was here, called the store to cancel, who then cancelled it, within 18 minutes. Either 1) The driver called before leaving the store, and because i "didn't answer" they just cancelled it (even though they just need to leave at the door and not call!) or 2) the pizza was never made, and they just cancelled it right when the closed because they didn't want to make it.

I have a feeling 2 is accurate as the order status never left "making". I had checked literally a couple minutes before the order was cancelled. I'd reccommend going with a different pizza that won't lie to you about attempting a CONTACTLESS delivery, and that will actually deliver during the...

There's a reason why nearly half of the reviews are 5 stars and half are 1 star. The pizza is good like most papa john's locations, but it's almost never staffed well enough to make delivery worth it. The delivery is almost always late which is nice if you like apology coupons to order another pizza late. Don't bother ordering extra sauces on delivery because they won't show, and don't bother leaving feedback on the website from the receipt because they don't read it. I can't recommend calling them for any reason because after 10 minutes listening to the papa john's rewards ad, I just hung up.

It's a shame because the pizza is good, but not getting what you pay for, waiting twice as long as you should, and not even being able to give feedback on the order makes it not worth it.

Frankly, reading the number of reviews that mention waiting multiple hours to not receive their pizza and still getting charged it's a gamble ordering from here at all.
