First - Please know they haven't even been open but a few days. Before you go, take into account the time of day. They don't have blinds on the windows yet and the sun hammers in the front, so if you don't like to be warm while eating dinner, wait for a table toward the back of the restaurant. To go orders get placed at the counter. Dine in - just seat yourself, they eventually get to you. (yes, they need a sign & yes I heard people tell them that opinion). Second - Know ahead of time, they currently aren't offering quite a bit of their options. Not sure why, didn't ask, they were really busy but your selections will be reduced right now. Third - they were busy & seemed short handed (like everyone else) so BE NICE! The Vietnamese don't rush their meals. For them, it's a time to enjoy, relax & connect - it's an experience. Our family found this true when we vacationed in Vietnam & we found it true last night at PhĂ´ Bowl. Fourth - Portions are large! Share a bowl, there's plenty & add some spring rolls. Fifth - Be sure to season your bowl. Don't be afraid to use the fish sauce & hot sauce. Our dinner was good, but unlike other places we've tried, the broth is a little bland, allowing you to make your bowl unique for your taste, which ended up being really good!
Some constructive suggestions - get the air conditioning going!! It was REALLY warm & some light music would have been spectacular.
Wishing them lots of success & we will be back, in a few weeks as things calm down. There's lots...
Read moreOur recent visit to Pho Bowl will have to be our last.
My brother is very sick and all he wanted for his birthday was Pho. He got the P11, which is Pho Hal San with Shrimp, Crab Meat and Pork. He chose this specifically because it had pork. We ordered a pickup and came home with our food.
We start to dole out the food (we ended up having to cook the round steak ourselves but that’s not an issue) and realize there is no pork in the P11.
So we call the store, and are told that their menu has changed and they no longer put pork in the P11. There is no indication of a change to the menu, anywhere. No signs in the store, no mention during the order, nothing on the website. We ordered this dish specifically for the pork. We paid extra for the pork. The receipt says pork. We were not offered an alternative, compensation or anything to resolve this.
Whoever was on the phone just kept repeating that there was no pork in the dish we ordered. No apology.
Pho Bowl has delicious food but they unfortunately are not trustworthy when it comes to their dish ingredients or communication about...
Read moreThis place is okay. I ordered spring rolls, shrimp fried rice, and steak pho. I asked for no pork in the spring roll. I got shrimp, noodles, and lettuce. I didn't get mint or bean sprouts. The peanut sauce was runny and didn't have much flavor. The shrimp fried rice is okay. It has a fair amount of shrimp (with tails on). The broccoli is big and should be cut into smaller bite-size pieces. The rice didn't fill the styrofoam container so presentation-wise, it looked like they didn't give me a full portion. (You definitely get more fried rice at a Chinese restaurant.) I wanted bun but when I called to place my order, the lady said they didn't have vermicelli noodles (or something like that?). There wasn't much steak in the steak pho. I was excited to try this place. But I am disappointed. I was better off ordering Chinese. I might give this place another try in a couple months if they're still in business and after they've worked out some of...
