I've ordered & picked up Subway at LEAST 300 times since ... the 90's. Everyone that knows me well knows THAT's my favorite fast-food restaurant. Or it WAS. USED to go 2-3x a Week, now it's about 1x a MONTH. Last few years service has gone downhill. They put TOO MUCH Sauce on, or too much veggies or both so it all makes a MESS. The workers seem like they HAVE to be there and don't want to work.
So at THIS Subway on a Saturday about 530pm, with my wife ordering first, I thought Great, Going to use 2 coupons & pay separately if they require it, else, I'm buying. This heavy-set Hispanic female, after taking my wifes order, is looking at the menu, then talking to.... ? I dont know. Facing the menu, saying something we cant understand (my wife requested no 'Cheese Spread" some another place put it on AUTOMATICALLY and it doesn't taste very good - she told THEM No Cheese sauce/spread TOO, but they did it anyway). Turns out the gal WAS talking to or asking HER a question on the type of cheese, but FACING THE Menu the whole time. You should FACE people when TALKING to them. That's why was hard to understand WHAT she was saying, and if she was talking to the CUSTOMER or not. Sorry, no common sense there.
With My order, she starts with the usual questions: what bread, then what meat, I answered. THEN if want it TOASTED. I said No. She asked again, I said no, not toasted. She said "the meat is cold". I had to lean over a bit since a BIG METAL COVER was BLOCKING my view what she was doing, & I couldnt even see the meats or cheeses. She put the cold meat on the bread & looked at me like the Only 2 choices are: COLD MEAT or TOASTED. Hmmmm wife was hungry (Hangry) so FINE TOASTED. If I only eat HALF, it's MOIST the next day and not so good, which is the case.
THEN she's asking my wife (was getting toasted) about "something, something, peperoni, cheese" Wife said, What? "Something, something pepperoni, cheese" I know a little Mexican Spanish, and that's what I heard, so didn't make sense. But WHY was she speaking Spanish or something to my wife? - a non-hispanic looking customer? I said, "I'm sorry, WHAT are you saying? something about pepperoni and cheese?" She gave me a dirty look & finally my wife figured it out about pepperjack cheese or something.
When the young guy was ringing us up (& fortunately he was accepting both coupons for one payment) he SAW the coupons. My wife had a MEAL with a drink, and mine was for a FOOTLONG ONLY. He hands us 2 cups. I said, "oh, for water? Ok." He rings it up AFTER The coupons are scanned. Comes to about $4 more than it SHOULD BE with tax. He asked about the 1 or 2 drinks before all this, I said, "No, just water for me." So he says, "but you said you wanted a drink." Hmmmm, where did THAT come from. Does 'Drink' sound like 'Water?' in what world. The Hispanic gal comes over, gets out 2 clear plastic cups (normally for water) and I say, 'Oh, is that for me? for water?" She gives me a dirty look again, keeps one cup for herself, puts the other one BACK. The guy has to get it back out, then rings it up right.
A couple other times at a Subway they added something extra or rang it up wrong. I really dont like that anywhere. Who does?
I don't know who HIRED this Hispanic chic, but they should'nt have to tell her "Dont expect OTHERS to KNOW your language."
It was a GOOD PRICE overall, after the corrections for workers NOT PAYING ATTENTION. So guess I need be very particular WHICH Subway I go to even more now than before. There ARE other places to choose from. Guess the owners/managers make ENOUGH MONEY that they just don't GIVE A...
Read moreThis subway deserves NO star. I ordered tuna and turkey sandwiches online. After I picked up those sandwiches I opened both are turkey inside, no tuna. I was so mad but I hate to go back. This is not the first time they did this to me. I’m not sure if there know how to take the order or read the menu. I don’t recommend this place. They scam customers and the services are very rude. Constantly messes up all my online orders and when you try to speak kindly to get them to fix your order staff and manager blames the customer for not ordering the food correctly. Rude manager and rude staff. Makes a huge deal having to remake a sandwich. Order a Italian BMT, but end up with bacon, mayo and some veggies. Manager made a big deal and was upset that there were no receipt brought back to the store. It's a $9 combo meal and treats customers like their being dishonest about their order.
