The servers do not get the tips that you write down for them. It is held back and then split with the servers who work the most hours. This means that no matter how much you like your server, if they didn't work the most hours that cycle, they are not going to see that tip. Bring cash so they can get the tips you want them to have! I would have ordered delivery that way but couldn't find it on that app. So, we just decided to go somewhere else. Accessibility to a clientele that isn't IU students or faculty may help.
