Service was very attentive, but I was also the only one there at an odd time of day, I had the Boom Boom Fries app which the bartender was nice enough to let me try a plate of on the house since it was fairly recently opened, and the Detroit Pepperoni Pizza. The sauce on the Boom Boom Fries was a bit too sweet for my preference but if you like the sweetness they were well cooked. The pizza was a bit better to me but still not my favorite. Read moreI am so glad I decided to try Backlot Pizza—wow! After reading the reviews about their authentic deep-dish pizza, I knew I had to give it a try, and I’m so glad I did. Every bite was packed with flavor, and the crust was phenomenal—thick, buttery, and perfectly baked. I loved that they put the sauce on top, just the way deep dish should be.
I also ordered their buffalo wings, and they were amazing—wet, meaty, and full of flavor. The restaurant is located inside a movie theater, but honestly, I’d probably miss the movie because I wouldn’t be able to stop eating!
