Backlot Pizza + Kitchen — Restaurant in Blue Ash

I went a few months ago but I only just remember to leave a review. I’d give this a high 3* so I rounded up. Service was very attentive, but I was also the only one there at an odd time of day, I had the Boom Boom Fries app which the bartender was nice enough to let me try a plate of on the house since it was fairly recently opened, and the Detroit Pepperoni Pizza. The sauce on the Boom Boom Fries was a bit too sweet for my preference but if you like the sweetness they were well cooked. The pizza was a bit better to me but still not my favorite. If I just came here to see a movie with the option to order some grub I probably would’ve enjoyed this place more, but as a place just for food it merely met expectations. I am so glad I decided to try Backlot Pizza—wow! After reading the reviews about their authentic deep-dish pizza, I knew I had to give it a try, and I’m so glad I did. Every bite was packed with flavor, and the crust was phenomenal—thick, buttery, and perfectly baked. I loved that they put the sauce on top, just the way deep dish should be.

I also ordered their buffalo wings, and they were amazing—wet, meaty, and full of flavor. The restaurant is located inside a movie theater, but honestly, I’d probably miss the movie because I wouldn’t be able to stop eating!

Burrata was tasty with crispy toast and a nice chunk of mozzarella. Classic Detroit style pizza, could have used a little longer in the oven but overall would definitely go back. Chili was tasty too with a nice portion size. If you join their rewards program you get $10 off! Our server was very attentive and helpful.

Went back again and asked for the pizza to be cooked a little longer and it was fantastic! We got the bbq chicken without onion. My son had the wings and ate them all, so they must have been good. Huge portions...
