Skyline Chili — Restaurant in Blue Ash

Every time I go to this skyline on my lunch break I order the same exact thing, 3 chili cheese sandwiches with onion and mustard extreme. No matter what I am always shorted on something EVERY time I go to this skyline. One time I’m shorted onions, the next time I’m shorted mustard, the next it barely has any cheese or chili? A chili cheese sandwich is based around two ingredients, chili and cheese. It’s always something. I have little to no complaints about the service but more of the quality of the food being prepped in the kitchen by the cooks. It just feels like the food is sloppily thrown together by a cook in a lunch rush. I work right on Cornell and feel like I can’t go to this skyline for lunch because my food will be messed up in some way because of a lunch rush at noon. Being busy is no excuse for neglecting the quality of the product you’re serving to...

Hadn't been to a skyline chili and probably 20 years. Wanted to expose my son to it while we were in town. If you haven't been in one envision across between fast food and a quick serve diner. You seat yourself the waitress waits on you at your table, and then you pay up the front. There's also a drive-thru window if that's your thing. I urge my son to try the three-way but opted for him to have the chili on the side as he can be a picky eater. He loved the spaghetti and cheese and ate a surprisingly large amount of the chili. I had the four-way with the new habanero cheese and really enjoyed it cheese provided a little bit of extra kick without being too hot. All together total bill was like $17. This is an establishment that created a genre: "Cincinnati style chili." It's always tasty, unique & even sentimental. I've been a fan of Skyline since I was a kid in Cincinnati. But haven't lived in the area since the 90s. Every time I'm back in the area I prioritize visiting Skyline & eating cheese conies & having a 3-way...that's pasta with their chili on top & a load of cheese. Everyone in the area takes it for granted that it's good, but they've never gone national, just regional.
