I Drove 32 Miles to Get Here and It Was Worth It.
East Forty Brewing is in Downtown Blue Springs, where it will, most likely, spark a rejuvenation of development to bring in folks looking for a good brewpub to drink great beers.
They brew their beers onsite, so you will always get fresh, unique beers you can't find anywhere else... Until they start distributing their delicious beers. Typically, 10 of their brews are on rotation, along with other beers, wines, hard ciders, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks. So you and your friends should find something you like. They also serve appetizers and 12" pizzas to compliment the beer and drinks. But make no mistake, you go for the beer--the food is merely and accoutrement to the beer. I ordered their Right Track IPA and the Nitro 2nd Breakfast Porter. Both were great, crisp, and smooth beers.
The setup and ambiance of East Forty Brewing is fantastic. They have a warm, chill environment where you can have great conversations or just relax after work. There's a garage door that opens up to a nice outside patio, with picnic tables, for enjoying nice nights coming up.
Overall, you can tell the owners put a lot of thought into the beers, the ambiance, and patron experience. They created a great brewpub pumping out delicious beers and I look forward to the 32 mile trip when...
Read moreMy wife and I stopped here on Dec. 13 on our way from Nebraska to Hermann, Mo, and we were quite impressed with the beer selection. David, who was the bartender at the time, was quite knowledgeable about the various beers and was friendly and very engaging. We sampled the Dog Days Wheat, Big Head Red, Second Breakfast Porter and Where Angels Fear to Tread--all outstanding beers, especially the last one that is barrel aged. Thank you David for making us feel welcome and for spending time with us--it was a great experience. We have been to many breweries around the country and this one is certainly one of the best we have been to. The folks of Blue Springs who love craft beer are very lucky to have this place. Good luck and we will definitely stop here again our next time...
Read moreExcellent visit at East Forty. I unfortunately did not get to try any food. We tried five beers and I really enjoyed them all. The beers are robust in flavor which I think a lot of microbreweries aren't able to do well. We took a growler to go! The service was excellent. They were very eager to chat with us about their beers. I liked that the selection had beers, seltzer, cocktails....That way if you have non-beer-drinking friends, you all can get along there. They had all of the tables separated for COVID protocols and also had partitions added to the bar that I thought actually looked good. There is outdoor seating as well. There is street parking all around the building and the entrance is accessible. Restrooms are gender specific and are...
