We have been going to this newly renovated restaurant in East Boca since the new owners Michael and Daniel Velicu (Father and son team ) purchased it. Medi Terra offers eclectic Spanish, French and Mediterranean Tapas in a modern contemporary setting with proper lighting effects and quiet setting. Each time after dinner we have felt it was the best food in Boca Raton to date. today and owners very experienced in prey paring cuisine. Chef Michael trained along with world famous Chef Jacques Pepin among other famous chefs and you may even see famous celebrity chefs driving from Miami to eat there. On our recent visit we had the Warm Pita with Zagat seasoning and Olive oil, a smoked to perfection Duck breast salad with orange segments that was superb. Zucchini flowers were so good lightly fried with incredible cheese that would rival any other preparation including in Italy.
For entrées we ordered Crispy Duck A L’Orange with the traditional sauce that was drinking good accompanied with crispy potatoes in duck fat.
Being a Lamb Lover and having ordered it all over the world, this was in the top ten preparations of Lamb we have ever had. Moroccan Lamb braised so perfect in a Tagine, that you did not need to break apart, it just melted on your pallet, This domestic Lamb was lean without any game nor fatty flavor and we ordered a side dish of couscous with Spanish saffron with it.
We did not have room for dessert this time, but will be sure to try some next week since we plan on eating there weekly.
We have had an incredible dining experience each time at Medi Terra and highly recommend it to Boca Raton residents, so hurry in and tell them, Billy...
Read moreWe eat out a lot and in many places around the world and we rarely share a review but this dinner deserves a mentioning. We started with two cocktails, one a Hendriks Martini, the other a Dirty Martini and both were not just proper in size but also perfect in their makings. Our waiter (Austin) was remarkable in that he did a perfect job in rattling off all the specials. Someone you would offer a job on the spot. This was followed by two exceptional entrees, a branzino dish and a, believe or not, a duck carbonara dish. My wife who never finishes her meals finished the Branzino dish and I leave it with that. My duck carbonara, which I had never heard before, was made to perfection. And believe me, I know a lot about carbonara. I remember having one of my first ones in the mid 80s in Calabria (Southern Italy) and not just me but my entire family fell in love with carbonara ever since (of course without heavy cream). I even make it at home every so often. To make a long story short, we know good food and tonight’s dinner was unique and remarkable in every respect which also includes our zabaglione desert. Come and enjoy this place! You...
Read moreOutstanding Dining Experience at Terra: We had an absolutely phenomenal experience at Terra, and it’s all thanks to the exceptional service and outstanding dishes. Our server, Austin, truly elevated the evening with his impeccable recommendations and warm, attentive demeanor.
The drink of the night was undoubtedly the Gin Lemonade—perfectly crafted, refreshing, and an instant favorite. As for the food, every dish was a standout. The Pear Salad with goat cheese was delightful, offering the perfect balance of flavors, and the Pulpi de Gallo (octopus) was simply out of this world—tender, flavorful, and a must-order. The Paella struck the perfect balance, featuring a generous combination of seafood and chorizo that left us wanting more.
To finish, we indulged in the Limoncello Gelato, which is made in-house and absolutely divine. It was the perfect way to end our meal.
The ambiance at Terra is a solid 10/10—warm, inviting, and perfect for a memorable evening. With Austin’s thoughtful recommendations and top-tier service, this was hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. We can’t...
