(Edited from my original 5-star review from years ago)

I’ve been coming to Biergarten in Boca Raton for over 9 years, and it used to be one of my favorite spots. As someone born and raised in Munich, this place once felt like a little piece of home—offering great German food, quality beer, and an atmosphere that reminded me of home-cooked meals. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was nothing like the experiences I had in the past.

After traveling for several months, I returned, bringing my entire family (all from Germany) and a friend, expecting the same authenticity I once loved. We were all very disappointed. It seems changes have been made to the menu, and there’s not much German about it anymore. The food itself no longer tastes like what you’d find in Germany—it lacks the authenticity that used to set this place apart. Just a week prior, I had taken them to Checkers Old Munchen, which still maintains that true German experience, and the difference was undeniable.

To make things worse, I had told my family about how good the pretzels were here—we were all looking forward to them—only to be told upon arrival that they are all out of it. That was incredibly disappointing. Its like going to a bagel store and being told they have no bagels.

The food quality has noticeably declined, and the limited German menu items make it feel far removed from what it once was. Biergarten used to be a go-to spot for an authentic taste of Germany, but based on this last experience, it has lost that touch. It's unfortunate because I used to recommend this place to anyone looking for real German food in Florida. Sadly, I can’t say the...

I would give this place a better rating if the service was better!

We came in on Tuesday nigth around 7:30pm, restaurant wasn't busy, we were planning just to grab something to eat, not to stay a long time.

We got seated outside, the place looks really nice, the atmosphere is great, music and TVs are not too loud. Our waitress appeared right away, took our drink order and then dissapeared for about 15 minutes. I had to get attention of other waitress to get our order, she seemed unhappy with that but did take it.

For an appetizer we ordered sausage sliders. They came out really fast, looked cute and tasted delicious!

For an entree we both had veal schnitzel with red cabbage and spaetzle. The portions are super generous! I could not finished it, even though I was hungry when we came in.

I couldn't say no to an apple strudel! And was right, it was amazing! Just right potion for sharing and not super sweet.

Our original waitress was hardly there to serve us. She was either inside the restaurant or sitting behind the pole on her phone all the time. So we spend there nearly 2 hours! I do want to mention that all of the food was coming out relatively quick and we are fast eaters.

The waitress seemed unhappy to be there and her smile looked super fake any time she did smile.

I've been in a serving industry for a quite long time, and I know the service we've received that night was unacceptable at any point!

The waitresses...

I went to the rstaurant last nighe to meet other couples drove into the parking flaged down by a Valet person to park my car asked me were I was and said your restaurant he said you must pay $10.00 to park here i asked what about if i went to another restaurant he gave me cheaper price for the other restaurants I found this very strange when a business doesnt have designated parking spaces and are paying such high rents. I paid him the $10.00 and he nevr offered to park my car he directected me to a lot to park in. NO Recepit or anything!!!!!! I spoke to the manger of the resaurant to see if he was aware of whats going gave me some excuses and said he would go talk to the Valet person which he and game basically and told me there is nothing he could do and he explained that the valet person are seperate from them. I told him that he specfically metion there restaurant and said it was a $10.00 fee to park so I found that to be very strage that the resaurant would allow the valet people to put there reputation at risk to these kinds of situations and review's and I find it also strage that the manager didnt compensate this situation very unprofesional and...

The wife invited me to a late lunch today and we decided to try Biergarten. It was tasty and fun--out on the covered patio during the rain storm. Of course, we ordered the German beers; she had the Oktoberfest brew, and I enjoyed a premium dark Warsteiner. Crisp and cold--that's a must for me, and that's the way it was served. It was 2 in the afternoon and there was one person covering eight different settings. He did an excellent job, but there really should have been an additional server, in my opinion--hence the 4 stars. The food was served hot and we both enjoyed our choices. Mine was the Jalapeño cheese Brat. I liked the flavor of the fries; however, if your choice in fries is crispy, these were not. They weren't soggy, but not quite crispy. The cheese sauce which looks so tasty in the pic was mild--I would have liked it a bit more tangy. This could be a welcome change for you if you're stuck in hamburger mode - - although that's on the menu as well. In addition, they offer lots of beers that you're already familiar with, in case you need a name you recognize. We'll definitely do it again.
