Sushi Jessie — Restaurant in Boca Raton

My brother was recently in town for a quick visit from NYC. We were both craving sushi for lunch but it had been so long since going to a sushi place here in Boca so I wasn’t sure where to take him. On the advise of my son We went to Sunset Sushi which unbeknownst to me doesn’t open till 5 and when I walked in the guy at the bar was rude AF. Got back in my car did a quick Yelp search,Sushi Jessie had great reviews and they were down the street. Well my brother and I walked in the place was empty with the exception of one diner and it was one of those instances where we both immediately started to judge a book by its cover and turned around to walk out only to be told by the sole diner do not leave or you will be leaving the best sushi place in all of South Florida. Understatement of the year. The best sushi I have ever had. It’s family owned and they are so nice and the quality of their sushi and the sauces they use are off the charts. My brother is a sushi connoisseur and he couldn’t believe how good this food was. They have an extensive menu, and Sashimi is amazing. Do not let the nondescript look of the place deter you. Run dont walk to Sushi Jessie. I promise you that you will not walk into another sushi joint here in Boca again once you treat yourself to this amazing hidden gem. I cannot...

I have eaten at a lot of sushi places in my life. This place had great quality food but the customer service was non-existent. I sat down and ordered a glass of wine. I was not asked for my ID I continue to order two appetizers. After eating my appetizers and finishing a glass of wine I ordered another glass and was asked for my ID. It’s a little late to ask a customer for their ID after you already served them a glass of wine. I ordered a sashimi appetizer and asked for all salmon. The waiter placed my order as all salmon and the chef did it “chefs choice” when the waiter told him it was all salmon his reply was tell him it’s chefs choice only. I told him I want all salmon and I didn’t care if there was an upcharge. He rufused to serve me what I wanted so I paid my bill and left. Sushi Jessie is an excellent sushi restaurant that deserves all the praise it gets. Their sushi is nothing short of amazing, and I look forward to visiting them every week on Fridays. The quality of the food is simply outstanding, and I have never once had a bad meal there.

Not only is the sushi delicious, but everyone who works at Sushi Jessie is incredibly nice and welcoming. They always make me feel like a valued customer and go out of their way to ensure my experience is enjoyable. The staff is well-informed and always happy to provide suggestions on the menu.
