If I could give 0 stars I would. The owner (Nancy) holds estate sales which she advertises on CraigsList. After contacting her for office furniture she explained that the "prices were very negotiable". A 50-minute drive later, in a large F250 with tools in car and my husband ready to disassemble and load it (do all the work basically) she let the sale go for $50! Mind you, the furniture was beyond scratched up and at least 8 years old! Still we tried to negotiate (which now I thank my lucky stars I didn't get stuck with that piece of junk) and she simply said in a very condescending and snobby attitude "I have others interested, so are you taking it or not". Thankfully, another posting just 2 days later got us barely used Parker House office furniture that we are extremely happy with! So beware.. this is nothing but highly priced junk she tries to market as top of the line furniture... oh and her attitude could really use some help.
In response to Nancy's comment of my review above: Yes 3 weeks later because I am very busy and remembered as I came across your text messages on my phone about how "negotiable" the furniture was and my text messages to you stating the long drive to and from the home. Again, we were relieved that we didn't take the furniture home, but it bothers to have 2 hours of our lives wasted for what $50 and snappy attitude from you, the owner. You were very nice and inviting when no one else wanted the furniture, but once you saw interest from another buyer and $50 (or a cut of $50) more in your wallet, your attitude changed completely. My husband's exact words "This was the person who claimed to be very negotiable? Let's get out of here". Left a very sour taste. Trust me when I say, it was not about the money, but the principal of it all. Just remember... "Your most unhappy customers are your greatest source of learning". Hopefully you realize that customers are what grow your business. How can I ever want to purchase anything from you, your store, or recommend you to...
Read moreI contacted numerous owners of consignment shops in the Boca Raton area when I sought to sell the contents of a family condominium being sold rather quickly. Nancy Rosenthal @ Legacy Estate & Home Furnishings was the first to respond and the most knowledgeable. She is sure of her interests, knows her customers and offers personal service to assist potential consignors. In short, Nancy tries to make the entire (difficult and cumbersome) process of buying and selling used furniture work for everyone. As soon as I arrived in town, Nancy came to meet me and to evaluate in person what I'd offered her first in email. She is most efficient in making her selections and equally well-versed in pricing items fairly for quick resale. When I needed a mover to bring selected items to Legacy's storefront, Nancy recommended Patriot Moving who proved to be fairly priced and most efficient. Two excellent young guys and a truck arrived within hours and they carefully whisked away my stuff to Legacy's showroom that very afternoon. Legacy's follow up accounting, tracking and payment reporting is first rate and accurate. I'm very pleased to have made Nancy's acquaintance and highly recommend her to you. If you are shopping for curated, used furniture in excellent condition, you must put Legacy on top of your list. And if you're seeking to consign your own items for resale, don't think twice, just contact Nancy who'll get you...
Read moreIndeed, size matters! This showroom floor is huge along with being well laid out and lighted; you can definitely see what you are buying. I consider myself a "professional" (addicted), consignment shopper and of all the consignment shops I frequent from Fort Lauderdale to West Palm Beach, I find that Legacy is not your typical consignment showroom, nor is the staff. The place is super clean, as is all of the merchandise on the floor; tells me someone is very picky or shall we say discriminating on what takes up space in each of the beautifully put together vignettes. Merchandise tends to be mostly high quality though there is a good mix of price points and styles from MCM, contemporary, transitional, with not too much traditional furnishings as I tend to see overtaking most shops. Lots of unusual art and accessories, mostly unique pieces but well priced and the tags even show the markdown dates with significant reductions so if you love it...don't leave it or you may find yourself disappointed. Lately I have noticed the addition of womens handbags, the good stuff. Lastly, visiting Legacy is like therapy for me, the staff always greets me as I enter and they let me breathe and meander before asking if I need help, and they KNOW their merchandise. A rare find! Kudo's to the owner and her entire...
