This is the review my wife posted on Yelp. I agree 100% so I'm posting it here as my review.

"I'm disappointed to read all these bad reviews. My husband and I just went there tonight. First of all, all those complaints about the manager were surprising after meeting him. He stopped by the table not once, but twice! He offered more drinks, he cleared the dishes and he took time chat with us. He seemed like a quiet personality, that's all. Absolutely nothing wrong that!! He was darling! On our way out he beckoned us to come see the patio outside where some people were eating. Gorgeous!! We are eating outside next time. (Pics of patio are included in this review) We really appreciated the manager in every way. He maintained a beautiful and clean restaurant and it's very festive in there.

Next, I have to address the salsa complaints. Authentic Mexican salsa is what they are serving and they do it better than most. Plus, they make it right there in house. The black flecks in the salsa are the charred bits of tomatillo and tomato...the right way to treat these!! The flavor was deep and rich while maintaining the light consistency of salsa you find in any Mexican home or restaurant worth its salt. Americans have thickened and chunked salsa to death and I won't eat grocery salsa. This is the real deal and I'd have bought a bottle of it if it was available.

The guacamole was delicious, too. Complaints about that...maybe some people just don't like onion in their guacamole and that's just fine. But growing up in Guatemala, Mexico and Peru, that's how we ate our guacamole if we weren't eating the avocados straight. (I'm not Mexican, my parents were missionaries to those countries and I love the food and culture of Central and South America)

The service was perfect. Wally was our server and his rhythm was on point. He didn't come by too much and was there always at the right time. I made sure he told the chefs there that their food was outstanding. He told me they were so happy to hear it, they often get ignored when people eat there. Compliment the chefs more when you eat out! They are working hard back there! And compliments to Wally, too. We left him a hefty tip at the end of the night because he deserved it.

Lastly, the food itself was so good. I had the chimichanga suiza with carnitas and my husband had the steak tacos dinner. We were busting at the seams but both plates were cleared. The carnitas were impossibly tender and juicy. The steak was also very tender. The beans have a wonderful flavor and consistency. The complimentary sopapillas at the end of the meal were light and crisp and the chocolate sauce was a dark chocolate. Not too sweet and very good!

Thank you for making our date night so nice, Casa Margarita!! We'll be back for sure and we'll tell everyone we know that they need to give it shot! Worth...

The food and drinks here are incredibly good. I was in love from the first bite. Even the chips n salsa on the table for nibbling while waiting are exceptionally good. The servers are all friendly and helpful. If you're going with a few people, it's great.

However, they seem to struggle with groups of over 20 or so. We went here with a group of ~25: arrive by 6:30, eat at 7, a presentation at 8:00. The food was to be laid out on a counter buffet-style so everyone could walk by and get what they wanted. It all sounded good...

It turned out a disorganised disaster. The "counter" meant to hold all the fixings for "build-your-own tacos" for ~25 people was much too small, perhaps 24" by 15" in area. Worse yet, it was mounted to the wall in a corner, leaving one small spot for 25 people to access said food. The food didn't even come out of the kitchen until 7:25 - not that most of the group got to eat then.

They had pushed together several tables to create one long trestle for us, with barely enough room to walk between the table and wall on one side. Were they serving us, that could have been okay, though still clumsy and hard on their wait staff. Given that we all had to get up, line up, serve ourselves from a very small space, and sit back down, it was a terrible decision. The last people finally got to sit down with their first plate after 8:00, meaning the presentation didn't start until well after 8:.30.

Given how good the food was, another group presentation was held there. (Hope springs eternal...) It was slightly better: The food was out around 7:15, set out on a portable counter, allowing people to go by on both sides, so most were done eating by 8:00. It still felt unorganized and there was still the issue with the cramped seating, so that was our last time there.

This was a few years ago, so they may have gotten better at it, but I'd definitely think twice about taking a large group there. Would I go with a few...

Just save your time and money.

My wife called ahead of time and told them we have a party of 8. They informed us they can accommodate us. When we arrived, 5 minutes after the call, they told us they could not accommodate us, and its a wait for a table but we can wait on the patio. After 20 minutes or so of no service we finally starting asking the staff can we get drinks. When the waiter came he didnt want to do his job it seemed, the entire time.

Everything we asked for, we had to ask for multiple times or it was not even put in to be made. My wife ordered the flight drinks and after 20 minutes of not recieving them and no communication about the hold up she finally asked where is her drinks. The waiter response was she had to wait until somebody else finishes their drinks because all the glasses were being used or dirty. She just canceled the order. When we get finally get the food(after about a hour being in the restaurant, its cold! Every single plate we ordered in our party was cold! Then we asked for salsa, he act like that was a problem. When he came back he gave us hot sauce! Had to wait 10 minutes to see him again to ask for salsa again. This place charges for salsa!

When we requested the bill we went over it gave our money to one member in the party to pay. We set there so long waiting for the guy to come back to take payment. We had children in the party that was restless so we left out and the member with money stayed in the restaurant waiting for him. The staff comes outside chasing us down accusing us of not paying making a scene in front of the restaurant. This place needs to change its customer service practices. We have been to the one in orland park and the service and attitudes were the same. My family will never step into one of these...

My husband and I ate here tonight for the first time. We walked into the establishment and were not even acknowledged by the hostess, so I asked her, do we seat ourselves or...? She had a smug look on her face, grabbed two menus and began walking. We followed her, she put the menus on the table and walked away. Then, we ordered an appetizer of chicken quesadillas. My husband and I both took a bite and thought they tasted funny, so we opened up another one to look inside only to find raw chicken. We called over our server, who called over the manager, and he took our plate. 10 minutes goes by and he walks past our table, turns around and says, “chicken was fine” and walked away.... never returning our plate with the rest of the food on it. We had to ask our server to refill our drinks (I had mine sitting close to the end of the table so that she could see it was empty, but I guess she didn’t get the hint). We had a couple bites of our food, which tasted cold, and asked for our check. Before she even asked if we wanted boxes, she began throwing napkins on top of our plates. We spent $50 on food tonight that we only had a couple bites out of and experienced terrible service.

This was my first time here, I went on 02/25 Sunday for lunch upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff. The waiter was very nice & attentive. The place looks amazing and clean. The food however is not “authentic Mexican food”. This is commercialized Mexican food, no flavor, ingredients where not traditional Mexican ingredients. We asked for drinks and my husband ordered a pina colada with alcohol however it had no alcohol in it. As for the appetizer we ordered the queso fundido and it was made with cheddar cheese and chorizo (not how queso fundido is traditionally made). Flour tortillas where hard and seemed not cooked, they tasted “crudas”. We where also given chips with salsa and the salsa was good but tasted like tomato, not spicy at all. My husband ordered “Carne Asada A La Tampiquena” he asked for it to be cooked well done however it was mild. I ordered “Camarones A La Diabla” and ordered them extra spicy, I kid you not they used the same sauce from the chips & salsa they give you!! Not spicy at all!! My son ordered a kids taco dinner and the meat was squishy and flavorless. I will not be coming here again. Staff was great cooks and food was horrible.
