Noodles and Company — Restaurant in Bolingbrook

This location has horrible customer service and I will be visiting the other location from now on. I walked into the store to one other customer waiting for his food, they handed it to him before I was even done ordering. I order my meals, a kids meal, regular mac and cheese with chicken and a chicken caesar salad extra dressing... They SCAN my rewards account... "You aren't a member" excuse me? I am a member you just scanned my account, I have a reward for a free small plate with purchase... (They refuse to honor it, I guess I didn't need the free small Mac n cheese) The entire time I waited, I was alone in the store. I get my order, as I'm almost to the door, they stop me. They forgot the chicken for the salad, no prob I hadn't left yet. So I drive my 20 mins home. Get the food out for my kids and husband... No dressing... I call the store and they say "oh we were really busy." No you weren't... You had 0 customers in the store. Then someone else gets on the phone and tells me since I paid in store I could drive 40 mins (round trip) to get a refund.... I ended up with ranch dressing...

Been here a couple of times before, with visits that are few and far in between. But I do go back to see if things have changed or improved since my last visit. This time I ordered Pad Thai, as the other items on the menu were like new inventions, not really the traditional noodles. Once again, I wasn’t very enthusiastic with my dinner. The Pad Thai noodles were al dente. Does the chef know that Asian noodles should be soft? Perhaps I needed a knife so I don’t have to be slurping the long noodles. There is an extra charge to add meat. I chose diced chicken. The dish was tasty, and had the right ingredients of a traditional Pad Thai except that it was a bit greasy with light vegetable of olive oil. This definitely was an American Style recipe. If they can’t get my Pad Thai right, I doubt if I would even try their other Asian noodles.Note to self: If you get cravings for Pad Thai, go to a mom and pop Thai restaurant. Lastly, I’ve been to several Noodles and Company restaurants, and each restaurant has their own style of preparing...

They didn't have what I saw listed on their online menu. When I made another choice based on the menu displayed in store (Thai soup of some sort), I was informed it was discontinued. I eventually decided on the orange chicken with zucchini noodles. It was tasteless and if I wasn't so hungry, I think I would have thrown it away. Outdoor seating is dirty and trashcan was overflowing even though there were only four customers. The ladies inside seemed to be trying their best, but maybe not enough support from company or management. Too bad; I use to like it here :( FYI- after review a manager sent a message asking for more information. I did call back but no one followed up afterwards. I think just a ploy to seem like...
