I visited this establishment tonight, after leaving work…
Long story short, I ordered a plain fish (no tartar or cheese), fresh, and 2 apple pies. When I get to the second window to receive my food, the Hispanic lady with the blue shirt on, and hair pulled back into a ponytail said, “I don’t know if they told you but we don’t have any more apple pies. We’ll have to make some more. I’m not sure if you want to wait, but it’ll take 12 minutes to make some more.”
I said, “yeah, ok. I’ll wait.” She said pull up to the next window. About 7 minutes later, another young lady, Hispanic with curly hair, comes to the window. Her hair was down and she either had a ponytail at the top, or a headset on, but most of her hair was down.
She opened the window. I had to back up since I pulled up too far (expecting them to come outside to bring me the food.)
Anyway, she had a “fake professional” smile. I said, excitedly, “thank you!” She placed the bag on my left hand, turned, did NOT say anything, and the window closed. Not responding, and her behavior, was off-putting and left an awful first impression of the business and their levels of service.
I drove down the street and got on the expressway.
Long story short, I noticed the first pie had a “enjoy by 10:22pm” sticker on it; perplexing. According to my receipt, the order was placed at 9:06pm. Both pies were cold. If one was cold, then I probably would’ve kept going but since both were cold, I returned to the McDonalds for a refund of the pies.
The manager did a good job of staying professional and hearing me out.
I’m not understanding why I was told fresh pies would be made, only to be handed cold, stale pies. This was my first and last time visiting this McDonalds. I’m never returning here. The service was NOT good, and the food wasn’t great either. The sandwich was just ok…
I don’t understand why some people think customers want cold food, when...
Read more02/12/18 Ever since they reopened, they've messed up EVERY single order I've made here and, mind you, I come here twice a month or whenever I'm visiting my mom (I live in Chicago). What are the damn chances? The first two weeks they opened, I didn't complain because they're training and learning the new ways and have a ton of new people I'm sure. Whatever. I only have the energy to complain about my most recent experience in which I ordered hot cakes BOGO coupon on mobile app (paid through drive thru though). I go through drive thru and tell them, verbatim, I have a coupon on mobile app for buy one hot cake get one free. Fine. Pay. Grab food. Go. Big mistake! And I should've learned this the first two times I went through drive thru- check your bags!!! Well my anxious aaaaaa drove off not checking because, well, ya know, I shouldn't have to- demanding $15/hour I'd hope you could at least get the order right, but okay, I'll use the ROBOT next time at least I'll know it'll get it right. Get to my moms (who thankfully lives a block away since I'm always driving back) and find that I got a box of two pancakes- NOT 2 boxes 6 pancakes. Oh great, they think that meant buy one single pancake get one single pancake free? Oh hellll na I don't even work there and I know that one order of hot cakes comes with 3 pancakes! I'm missing 4 single cakes! I storm back, but now I have to wait in line cuz of all times everyone in the neighborhood wants a greasy quarter pounder to cure their munchies when I just want some damn pancakes- breakfast for dinner! Trying to explain how I was owed 4 pancakes and trying not to sound rude by explaining basic math was worth the hassle, even if I did have 2 old cold pancakes now. Oh! And I remembered to check my bag before leaving with my...
Read moreWe ordered at the drive thru and the person taking our order spoke way too fast to the point where we had to ask her to repeat herself 3x because we couldn't understand what was said. When I asked about using a code with a deal I was not given any solution as to why she couldn't see it on her end for a free any size fries with a purchase of a mccrispy. It was only after I asked her to use a different code that the deal came up on her end. We ordered a coffee with cream and sugar but didn't receive any. When we asked for more, they said they charge PER cream and PER sugar. We've never had to do that and instead almost needed to speak with the manager. They also gave us the wrong size fries, it was a medium instead of a large. Because we were there for a while we decided to park since we were holding up the line. My sister and I went inside to ask for a coffee cup lid, cream and sugar, a stirer, ketchup and mayo (because they only gave 1 packet) for our 5 sandwiches and fries. We waited 5 minutes for condiments. All the people there also had very rude/bad customer service. No one tried to solve the issues, everyone had an attitude, and no one even smiled a little bit. When I finally got to eat my mccrispy it looked so sad! I was really hungry and ate it anyway but I probably won't be getting it again, or at least not here. Find another location if you...
