KFC — Restaurant in Bonita Springs

Well it's been a good while since I went to KFC, but after seeing their commercials on television it triggered an urge to go grab a 20.00 Family Fill Up. When I pulled up in the drive thru, I asked them for the 20.00 FFU and to my surprise I was greeted at the window with a total of 26.00+ and a " Hey all we got is regular, no crispy". I told them that was fine, but let's work on the 26.00 bit, which they did correct. I waited in line for about 15 minutes and they gave me my order and I proceeded home. I couldn't wait to get to the kitchen and open up the bucket and reflect back on my youth when getting KFC was a special treat!

Well I must say that I was really disappointed when I pulled the lid back and saw some of the most pitiful pieces of chicken I have ever seen. The original recipe was super soggy and when a took a bite, the flavor was not what I remembered at all and tasted terrible. I have had better chicken from the cold case of Wal-Marts Deli section (If that ain't telling you something, I don't know what will). Mashed potatoes were watery, gravy was cool and cole slaw was watered down as well. Best part of the meal was biscuits after I put them in the microwave for 15 seconds.

I tried to muster a few more bites from the chicken and gave up. I'm not sure if the franchise is heading down hill as a whole, or just this location but this meal was terrible. Franchise owners and corporate should be ashamed to serve food of this quality in my opinion.

Not wanting the food to go to waste, I placed it outside for the wild animals that live in our rural area to enjoy....it was still there untouched the next morning...guess they didnt...

Okay chicken buffet.. Unfortunately, the chicken was lousy on the buffet.. kinda OLD.. but the mashed potatoes and gravy and Cole slaw and chocolate mousse we're delicious.. I did like the barbeque chicken.. A decent value for a family. I'd likely try it again.. Chicken livers could be Bigger.. Put fresh cooked chicken out in smaller batches and more often. ... Personally, I think they're hurting, they retired the "Steam Fryer" machines and they've not found their direction yet.. as in Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen is eating their lunch, and even Churches Fried Chicken is better.. I think they need to reevaluate thier friend chicken product and say okay, maybe we can't compete with the Colonels Steam Fryers that built this chain.. but by golly crackies we can do better than this.. true crispy tasty fried chicken seasoned correctly appears to be eluding them. Too salty, not crispy . Needs work.. still, s good value buffet for hungry people willing to overlook the fact that KFC's chicken product gas...

Bathroom was the NASTIEST bathroom I had ever seen! (And I've seen some nasty bathrooms! The bottoms of the drywall were water damaged or something to that effect. And had been that way for some time because there was brown brown rotting wood around at the floor. I don't know if the place got flooded and never fixed the issues or what. The chicken was not the "normal" KFC recipe. They have a bar but it was poorly stocked. While in line 4 people had to ask for things to be refilled including us. There were no clean tables. Poor service! One family left after standing in line for forever. An old man complained that the 5 dollar fill up box's cost 6 dollars . They stated that they are a private KFC and do not have to honor those prices. The walls were covered in filth! I HOPE the owner sees my review and learns to take pride in his business and fix it up. Luckally I don't live here I am just passing through. I never do review's however this one had to be done bc it gives...
