We've eaten at Mare Terra several times since it's opening in June and we will certainly be back again! Every time my husband and I go, we try something new and are always impressed. The drinks are top notch, the service is first-class, and both the manager and the owner, Sal are friendly and accommodating.
The ambiance is clean, white and modern but with bursting accents of bold color on the wall - beautiful gallery art that can be viewed and even purchased.
If you're looking for some meal suggestions, I recommend the Insalata Tiepida di Gamberi e Calamari -- this warm salad full of grilled prawns and calamari and a delicious combination of eggplant, mint and pine nuts is a great meal on its own or as an appetizer.
One of my favorite entrees so far is the Scaloppa di Vitello alla Milanese -- Perfectly breaded veal cutlets topped with arugula, baby tomatoes, sliced red onion, and shaved parmesan with drizzled balsamic glaze. YUM!!
My husband's two favorite dishes are the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese with homemade tagliatelle pasta and traditional ragu bolognese and the Salmone Marinato, which is seared Atlantic salmon with a wine and fish fumet, mashed potatoes and spinach.
Don't skip dessert! I get the Coppa Spagnola every time. It is a delectable pairing of vanilla and Amarena cherry gelato swirled together with Amarena cherries for a smooth, sweet finish...

I was so happy to be there and everybody was so friendly, I thank The staff for being so friendly to me and meant the world to me so I’ll come back again next year and it was fabulous. Read moreThe restaurant is lovely but the faint smell of bleach from a recent cleaning was off putting. The live music was enjoyable. Service was fine.
The food was sub par. We ordered the mussels and the white wine broth. The mussels themselves were small and chewy and half of the time I was unable to get them out of the shell. They just disintegrated on the fork. The edible ones had little flavor. My guess is that they were not close to fresh.
The mains were pasta bolognese and veal Marsala. The bolognese was tasty and the pasta nicely al dente. It’s a good thing since that was the only dish we ordered that was acceptable. The veal was almost tasteless and the potatoes were mediocre. Marsala has a strong and distinct flavor profile that was completely lacking in the dish served to me. The spinach was actually well done and tasty and a nice surprise.
I admit that I didn’t complain about any of the food to the server. My experience is that food issues are impossible to fix at the table. So I paid a sizable bill and left unsatisfied.
