I am deeply disappointed and saddened by how I was treated at this Surterra store. I'm familiar with Trulieve and MUV so I was excited to try this dispensary out for the first time. Being that it was my first time I was hoping to be helped by employees and given descriptions of different products or recommendations based off what I was looking for. Instead, I was checked in given a sheet of paper and allowed to browse the displays alone. I didn't mind this at first thinking that they be able to explain any questions I had at check out. I was then offered to order by a different employee that simply asked what I wanted and clarified some fine print on the first time discount-- something that wasn't even known to me until she vaguely mentioned it. When I asked about where to find the ATM I was disregarded and directed to sit and wait for my order. The seating area was nice but when they called my name I was hopeful that the 3rd and final employee I encountered would be more cheery and welcoming to me. I was wrong. They ordered me to stand 6ft away, which is great because I like how distanced everyone was but I wasn't even answered when I asked how she was today. Just given my total $. I let her know I needed to use the ATM and she looked at me like I was the biggest inconvenience to her in the world and told me to go right ahead and just pointed to a wall. I was so defeated at this point I just followed and hoped I'd find it in the general direction I was given. After getting the cash I needed I gave her my money to which she placed my bag of items next to. After a moment of silence, confused, I asked am I all set? To which she answered yeah. I walked out on the verge of tears when the receptionist at the front finally spoke to me kindly thanking me for coming in today. I will never be back to this location, if anything for online pick-up, which the staff seemed to prefer of people so they don't have to actually help at all. I'm giving them a 2-star for providing the products they do at all. I'm attaching the time and date when I entered the store so that hopefully the managers will be able to tell who was on staff at the time and adjust their attitudes accordingly. I am a strong advocate for Medical cannabis and cant imagine how off-putting this kind of interaction could deter a first time ever patient that is completely new to the medicine from exploring the benefits of cannabis. My first experience with Surterra was great. But that was delivery... upon walking in the store I was greeted and told to ask if I had any questions. I walked over to the displays and looked at the information that I wanted, made my selection and went back to the other clerk to ask what the next step in the process was. He proceeded to take me back over to the displays and begin discussing product. I already made my selection. I don’t know why I had to go through all of that to get the products. I went back a few weeks later to try the Florida's finest brand that they carry. At first I had trouble with two of the vaporizer cartridges. One tasted bad like burnt plastic, and the other one I couldn't draw from at all. I went in during the grand opening and they took care of me very quickly and got me replacement cartridges which I am very happy about. The Florida's finest brand is much better and more to my liking. The people are friendly and knowledgeable.
A couple of days have gone by, the first cartridge that I tried work just fine and I loved it. The second cartridge I tried did not work at all. It was totally clogged up like the first ones. Unfortunately even though their products seems okay the cartridges are not so I cannot recommend this product either.
To me, their staff is great as is their customer service. Their product is lacking in my opinion.
