The Brass Tap

I can only assume this place will exist based on the gamblers that go to that location. Forget restaurant service, it's non existent. We literally went up to waitstaff and stated we were going to be located at the outside seating area. We got "ya, no problem " Yet they never came out and greeted us, never got a menu, NOTHING. WE LEFT AFTER AT LEAST 10 MINUTES of waiting at our table, after announcing our being there. There was maybe 20 people in the place. There was 6 young guys waiting outside too. The bar was relatively full, but it was football Sunday. Meanwhile, numerous waitstaff hid in the kitchen or the waitstaff back area. It's all good, we don't need to spend money there. Plenty of places to go. Brass Tap needs better management obviously, and to drop their pretentious ways. SWFL is not known for good food and service, sadly this place is representative of that. It looked clean, although it's a brand new location so I'm sure it won't be long before it's a typical grungy wanna be location. Sorry, but we are just tired of the lack of service. We have no problem going out and spending money, in fact we ended up at The Turtle on Vanderbilt, then went on to have some real fun at the Beach Box, at least we got friendly attentive service at...

I walked into this place twice now in the last 40 minutes. The first time I stood at the bar and couldn’t even get acknowledged. I stood there for more than five minutes. I grabbed a menu that a server laid on the bar after cleaning her table. I picked that up looked it over and decided what I would order should I be asked. Nothing. So I moved to a high top table thinking a server in that section would see me. Nothing again. I walked out. Then I thought I give them a second chance because an employee told me how good the food was. I went to a different high top and still nothing. No hello or have you been helped yet or would you like to see a menu. This place is not crowded do there in no excuse for this poor service. I haven’t even seen a manager. On May 4th we attended a Kentucky Derby event @ the Brass Tapp. For a set price thier was 3 dinning choices Prime Rib Chicken Parmasigan or Salmon all with choice of sides. Allso include we're 2 cocktails per guest. This was Truly a Wonderful Derby Party plus on site betting on Derby & Simulcast of Horse & Dog Races from around the country live. Now on too what really made this a Wonderful Experience!! The Staff Christian is AWSOME behind the bar & a Tremendous Ammbassard Jessica also behind bar Outstanding & AM B. All these 3 of these Wonderful servers made the entire event Special!!
