The food was really bad, I’m sorry but this is an honest review. The garlic knots were old or stale. The calamari was overly soaked in oil and over done and it was more bread than fish. The plate was filled with burnt oil soaked crumbs of bread. My pasta and meatballs had a taste that I didn’t like and the sauce was way too sweet and a paste vs a sauce. I took the sauce off the meatball and the meatball was hard and bland with little taste on its own. The ricotta cheese was like cottage cheese, it was old and tasted of refrigerator burn, I removed what I could as it was clearly bad. Ricotta should be smooth and creamy. My wife had the eggplant appetizer and the cheese inside was “cold and the eggplant was tough”. Her chicken dish came burnt and it tasted burnt, and she sent it back. When the new chicken dish came back the sauce used was like industrial oil vs. delicate butter and lemon, it tasted awful. Dinner for (2) “two” $142 it was not the waitress fault the food was not edible. Left the food and did not eat it or take it home. My smokey pineapple cocktail was the only good thing for the evening, however it was a tiny pour. Of the six people at our table, we all had a disappointing meal at the same price point. I would avoid this place. Bad food and old, out of date ingredients. Based on what I’ve seen, someone who works at Two Meatballs thinks this level of food is acceptable or it would not be produced in the kitchen, nor would a response be defensive and state that other people like it. With so many other great Italian choices at this price point, this cold sterile, noisy room with high school cafeteria old food, should not be an option. To me , this is a shame. My family is Italian and I used to work in the business. No one expects Marea, Don Angie, or Ai Fiori but try and aim higher. People joke in Naples how people from the Midwest will eat any Italian food…. Well Two Meatballs proves that point. I’d prefer a less crowded menu but a few things done well. Tonight throw out every pot of red sauce. Get rid of the premix sauces. Make your bread each day. Check out your walk-in something is tainting your food…. And hire a chef before the one you have destroys...
Read moreI waddled in to Two Meatballs this Thursday evening and before I could even reach for a chair, my server, Samuel was there. Young fella, broad smile, stockier type, the kind of handshake that says “you’re in good hands now.” Said folks call him “Sam the Man”, and after tonight, I understand why.
The service? Impeccable. I’ve had nurses in the hospital take worse care of me than Sam did. Glass never empty, questions answered before I could ask, and not once did I feel rushed. No, Sam made me feel like I was the only customer that ever mattered. That kind of service is rarer than a well-done steak at a truck stop.
Now, I know I’m supposed to talk about the food, and don’t worry, it was delicious, meatballs the size of a baby’s fist, spaghetti cooked just right, sauce like something my nonna wishes she could’ve made. But truth be told, what stuck with me more than the meal was how well I was treated. A good meal fills the belly. A good server like Samuel fills the soul, and might I add that Sam is no stranger to good meals.
So if you're reading this and thinking of trying Two Meatballs, don’t think, just go. Ask for "Sam the Man". You...

After two failed experiences at the Naples location, we’re officially done. This is not the same Two Meatballs experience you get in Fort Myers. My wife was trying it for the first time, and unfortunately, it left a terrible impression.
We ordered pickup because the last time we tried dining in, we were turned away due to overwhelming crowds—it had just opened. This time, the food was less than mediocre. They forgot our side of meatballs and didn’t include the bread, even though we were told it came with our order. When I called to address it, the manager deflected blame onto the hostess and said he’d comp our meal. That never happened.
The lasagna was so bad it ended up in the trash. I honestly don’t see this location lasting long with service and quality like this. Save yourself the time and go somewhere else for dinner. Naples...
