This place has went down hill very fast. I would give it zero stars if I could. Let’s start off with about 3 months ago. They were out of fries during lunch and decided that they were going to serve us hash-browns without informing us this, once we got home, we realized we were given hash-browns. We then brought the food back and asked for a refund when we were refunded, we were given the cost back for hash-browns when we were originally charge for fries so they had to fix another mistake that day. We picked up dinner another time and received very soggy , drenched grease fries. That were just so disgusting. No one would ever pay for those. We asked for them to be made fresh and were given, yet the same exact kind of fries that we received the first time, so we just asked for our money back. Just two weeks ago. I pulled through the drive-through and tried to order a three piece chicken tenders, just to be told they were out of chicken products! I went back the next day and they had chicken products and once I put my order in, I had asked for honey mustard as the dipping sauce just to pull around to the window and they told they are out of honey mustard. That is the only sauce that I prefer to eat their chicken products with and I was quite disappointed that they couldn’t tell me before I had completed my order. This kind young woman then realizes what’s happening in the drive-through and tells me she’s going all the way to the back to receive honey mustard for me and simply handed me two packets of it so now I’m starting to believe they are just too lazy to grab inventory so they come up with excuses that they are out of a lot of stuff. I’ve decided to take some time away from this fast food hoping that they would change and get better , just to find out as of today going through the drive-through. I asked just for a simple strawberry milkshake, and was told through the speaker that it was going to be a 10 minute wait just because they had to scoop it. Read moreWell, first of all, when we got there and got inside it was broiling in there. I mean sweat pouring off of your face broiling. Then we ordered our food and sat down and waited for it and then when we got it not only was it cold but it wasn't even what we ordered. And not only was it not what we ordered, but it looked like something you would pour in a pig's trough. The lettuce in the tomato wasn't even all the burger. It was just laid inside there and then when the burger was wrapped up it was just crushed up against it. It was absolutely swimming and grease. So badly that the cheese was literally sliding off. We got very, very sick off of Hardy's considering never going back. Never, ever did we have such a experience except for one other time with a rude employee. Otherwise we've never had any issues with hardy's before and this was extremely disappointing. Definitely an extreme lack of good management. I don't know how many people how to go back up to the counter because they didn't receive what they ordered either. And it wasn't that they were mixing up people's orders and giving one person's order to another. It was nowhere near what anyone ordered. They were giving people food that nobody ordered. There is a distinct lack of quality control at this location. Very often our entire order is wrong. Frequently we are not given straws, or our beverages are just carbonated water as they have not kept up with the syrup. We have recently started to ask for no tomatoes as their tomatoes taste weirdly like pumpkin, and are mushy. This smell is very strong and the texture is immediately noticeable that means that the tomatoes having gone bad is being ignored by the staff.
The staff themselves are either hurried seeming to have only a close grasp of effectively executing their job duties; or are malignant, and rude choosing not to do their required tasks correctly seemingly out of spite.
It is sad to see the quality at this location go down hill like this because previously Hardee's at New Market was one of the only fast food restaurants in Boone to have decent service and food of expected quality.
For the time being for fast food night our family will have to go to W. Jefferson instead. Although I do hope that in the future I have a reason to positively amend...
