First, let me start by saying that the staff at this hotel were professional and courteous even in trying times. However, that is where my positivity stops. From the start, this hotel stay was disappointing or worse, and nice front desk workers can’t change that. Having arrived in Boone early, we called to see if early check-in was an option. It was no big deal when we were informed that the earliest we could try was 230PM; and even that was no guarantee. Shortly after 3PM (Actual check-in time) we arrived and attempted to check-in. However, we were told that apparently there were insufficient cleaning staff that day, and rooms were not ready right then. We were assured that we would get one as soon as they became available and the manager was checking behind the staff to ensure quality. We waited in the lobby for over an hour before we could get checked in. It was right around 445 when we were able to finally get into our room. After a long trip the first thing my partner did was attempt to pee. But the toilet had been left unflushed by the cleaning staff and missed by the manager; nothing truly gross, but still… The actual room itself was OK: I’ve had better, and I’ve had worse. But upon trying to make some coffee to offset the long day, we discovered the room had only been stocked with decaf and that the towelettes provided were expired. At this point we had to leave to visit with family. But needing a shower before leaving opened a whole new realm of awfulness. This shower was just a masterclass in poor workmanship. There was still expanding foam on top of the shower walls, the light fixture was rusty, and the shower head leaked upwards. Getting out of the shower didn’t do any favors either; that being when we noticed the mildew on the ceiling and grout, and excessive dust clogging the bathroom vent. You’d think that was it, but you’d be incorrect. The worst part was coming back to the hotel at 1030PM and trying to find somewhere to park. There is not sufficient parking for the hotel complex. And what parking spots seemed opened where partially taken up by people who couldn’t park in what amounted to a compact car spot. We were told “just park along the side of the building, you shouldn’t get towed” and “yeah this happens most weekends.” So we parked alongside the building hoping the lack of a parking spot wouldn’t get us towed. Overall, this was one of the worse hotel experiences I have had. All I want is cleanliness and a place that is easy to stay at. But between the toilet, coffee, shower, mildew, and parking I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. I paid a decent chunk of change to stay here. And while I understand busier weekends are going to cost more, I didn’t get even a quarter of the value I paid. What makes it even more disappointing is that the reason I went with Sleep Inn is that I have always had good experiences. I have always walked away feeling that I got what I paid for. But if this is the quality I can start to expect, I might have to change my mind on that.
Overall: Do not Stay here, you will overpay for a...
Read moreWe did have a good experience overall. The employees were friendly and helpful--Tabitha at the desk, Janie (the breakfast attendant) and the morning check out attendant. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was good. The price was fair. There were a few issues. I hope the management will read this and that it will help them to improve what is already a nice place to stay: 1.) We did experience a lot of noise in the room we were in on the first floor from other guests. One loud thump woke me up on one occasion. 2.) The water reservoir in the coffee maker wasn't clean. I ran some water through it a couple of times and used a tissue to clean it before I used it. The coffee was good though. 3.) The card/key did work on our room door but did NOT work on the building entrance near our room. This caused my wife and me to be locked out of the building and were aggravated at the inconvenience of having to load our items back into the car and go around the building again and down the long hallway. When I asked earlier if we could enter that door, the desk clerk assumed our card/key would work on that door (She did warn us that if we used it at the pool entrance it may not work). It would be best if all the keys/locks work as expected. 4.) The water pressure for the shower head didn't seem quite powerful enough. A different shower head may help. 5.) There wasn't a shelf in the shower to put soap,...
Read moreWOW!! Pardon my French, but this is the best d*mn hotel I've ever stayed at! I love swimming and they have a heated pool!! That is a huge deal to me because they are so very hard to find; I also have an autistic daughter who has sensory issues and also loves to swim, and when we got in the pool she was so happy and could tell the difference immediately!! The pool was also super clean along with our room, which is also a dealbreaker, so I was beyond pleased! The continental breakfast was superb, so much variety and absolutely delicious, and was promptly refilled as soon as they ran out of something, I didn't even see anyone go in and do it, it was like a magic trick! Also the coffee station inside the lobby has nutmeg, which I never see, and I love nutmeg in my coffee with extra cream, which there was plenty of! The music in the lobby makes it so fun to hang out, and just kick back and soak in the calm vibes! I am a 90s baby so I love that they play 90s music in there! The staff is excellent and totally sugar sweet, always greeting and speaking with a smile, which I am not used to! Staying here is such a treat, please don't miss the opportunity to kick it here!! And I almost forgot, there is a gorgeous view from the room we got where the sunset was visible and so gorgeous! Sleep Inn reigns SUPREME!! I will certainly be back!! My top choice for sure!! Don't "sleep" on choosing this location! I...
