Footbridge Fish Company — Restaurant in Boothbay Harbor

Food was good, especially for food truck, but the owner was surprisingly rude to our group after getting some very soft feedback that she asked us for.

We were a large party, and we ordered a lot of food, but those that got the fish and chips got a ton of awesome haddock, but almost no fries.

Now, ordinarily, I'd never bring it up, since the quantity of protein provided, but the owner came by to ask how things were going. At that question, we were honest that the food was better than could be expected, but when we order fish and chips, we kind of want more than 6 chips to go with the fish. This apparently lit a fuse, because she stomped off without comment, before eventually coming back to slam a tray of hot fries down in front of us. I made it clear that we weren't looking for more food, just offering her the feedback she asked for, but she thought it was a good time to tell us about how we offended her.

My experience was pretty wild. Good food, awesome spot, sensitive owner, and weird portions.

If it weren't for the guff, I'd go again, but it wasn't worth the hassle. Maybe you'll have better luck than we will, because the prices and food are good, but it's not worth saving the $5 a plate only to...

The food was pretty good. My group got lobster rolls, crab rolls, and the fish and chips. There weren’t many fries/chips. When asked by the owner how everything was one member of my group mentioned there weren’t many fries and another said I’ll second that. She huffed, grabbed some extra fries, slammed them on the table and complained about how we upset her. My grandfather was ignored 3 times when asking for ketchup. Hopefully we just caught them on a bad day and it doesn’t reflect the overall service but based on my experience I would not recommend Footbridge...

We couldn’t have been more pleased with our dinners! Was anxious to try the lobster poutine. Flavors were perfectly balanced, lobster was cooked to perfection. The fish and chips were equally cooked to perfect, crispy on outside, while moist inside. The spicy fries are addictive. 😋

It was a warm evening, the light sea breeze made for ideal conditions. Fun little location next to the footbridge.

Service couldn’t have been more friendly. Our dinners were delivered table side.
