In a town that carries the weight of the world on its shoulders, there's a place where the wood is well-worn and the coffee is always hot. Angie's Luncheonette it's called, resembling more a chapter from a well-thumbed book than a diner. Here, under the hum of early morning and the quiet din of noon, life unfolds in the simple, earthy rituals of breakfast and lunch. The menu, like a good story, is both familiar and inviting, edged with surprises. Patrons, some weary from the night before, others bright-eyed and seeking, find solace in the promise of breakfast served all day. It's a declaration of independence from the tyranny of time, a small rebellion savored with every bite of eggs and bacon long after the morning has passed. Among the offerings, the TRIO FAJITA stands as a testament to hearty sustenance, a union of shrimp, chicken, and steak priced at $25.95. It's a dish that speaks of journeys and convergences, flavors mingling like characters in a narrative, each with its own story yet contributing to a shared destiny. The sizzle and smoke of the fajitas echo tales of distant lands and homecoming, a reminder that even the most wandering soul seeks the warmth of familiar hearthfires. And then, the BIRRIA TACOS. They are not just food; they are an experience--a slow, delicate unraveling of flavors and textures. Each bite is a paragraph, dense with history and spice, a craft akin to homemade . The meat, tender from its long marination, pulls apart like the layers of a well-crafted narrative, revealing not just the skill of its making but the heritage of its origin. Angie's, is not merely a luncheonette. It's a microcosm of life's enduring simplicities and fleeting joys. Here, amid the clatter of dishes and the murmur of conversations, the world narrows to the moment, to the plate before you, and the people beside you. In a way, Angie's embodies a purity--stripped of pretense, focused on the essence. Life, it suggests, is not unlike a meal at Angie's: simple, yet profound; fleeting, yet filled with the possibility of meaning and connection. And in this space, one finds a reflection of our own ethos: that in the straightforward and unadorned, there lies depth,...

Read moreI am disgusted by the customer service that I have received at this establishment. I dine here VERY often and always recommend Angie's to other people but last Sunday I decided to order take-out through grubhub. Unfortunately, my bacon was missing from my order and when I called to let someone know I was approached by "Pancho" who says he is "just the dishwasher and we don't have any owners or managers." I told him that I was missing the $6.75 bacon from my meal and he decided to talk at me and say "FIRST OF ALL...." "SECOND OF ALL...." I asked him to not be rude and he kept going while insisting that I didn't pay for extra bacon. It was only until he decided to read my entire order to me that he noticed that I DID pay for extra bacon. After that his rude & condescending tone suddenly changed and he said "oh..I'm human, human make mistake." I told him that his first mistake was how he approached the situation and that it was totally inappropriate. He then hung up on me and when I called back again to speak to him a waitresses hung up on me. Fast forward to today (Wednesday) while I was tying to call back to speak to another manager, I got hung up on again. As someone who eats here weekly and a Bordentown resident this is DISGUSTING AND UNACCEPTABLE. I would NEVER recommend this establishment to anyone after paying $75 for my families food and being treated this...
