My husband and I were lucky enough to have visited this lively restaurant during a soft opening a few weeks ago. The first thing we noticed upon entering was the classy and modern design. The main room consists of a huge bar adequately staffed with friendly and knowledgeable bartenders. I ordered a Pomegranate Martini, which was absolutely delicious with a generous amount of alcohol without sacrificing taste. My husband opted to try the tap wall, a wall including a row of taps from which you can get beer by simply tapping a screen using a card provided to you by the restaurant. To his delight the tap wall had over 10 different kinds of craft beers and some wines. My husband decided to partake in two different sour beers that I even thought were delicious (despite not being a beer drinker). The restaurant provides a shelf with clean glasses next to the tap wall so that you can serve yourself if you want, and the tap wall keeps track of your purchases. The staff at the restaurant was incredibly friendly and courteous and knowledgeable about the menu. My husband and I ordered the garlic parmesan wings to share as an appetizer. To our surprise, 12 wings came in one order for a very reasonable price. The wings were perfect! Specifically, the wings had enough sauce to provide amazing flavor, however not so much that you had to use an excessive amount of napkins. We couldn't get enough. For dinner I ordered short rib tacos and my husband ordered the shrimp tacos. OMG, when i say delicious! Again, to our surprise, 3 huge tacos came in a single order. We were both only able to finish 2 tacos and had to take the rest home. We were completely blown away by the taste and the value of the food. Hats off to the Chef. During dinner, my husband was able to get up and refill his beer whenever he wanted. We left the restaurant feeling totally satisfied with the food, the value and the ambiance. We plan to make this our weekly date-night spot. Since the soft opening, the restaurant has added a full menu of entrees and appetizers and rotates the beers and wines on...
Read moreBordentown Square Tap + Grill is an absolute gem that recently graced our foodie scene at the end of December, and I've already made two delightful pit stops. Nestled on the corner, I'm sure it will quickly become a local favorite. They have unique appetizers with delightful meals and a beer haven for local brew seekers. The ambiance is lively, with high-top tables for couples, a well-stocked bar, and front rooms ideal for intimate gatherings, while the back room caters to larger groups.
My lunch visit was a flavor fiesta as I dived into the Trotters and the Bahn Mi Turkey Burger. The Trotters were an ode to meatiness, slow-cooked to perfection, and the succulent meat effortlessly glided off the bone. The Bahn Mi Turkey Burger was a flavorful delight, something different and light for a burger, promising a repeat order in the future for sure.
Returning for a dinner date over the weekend, we went with the Crack Bacon, a luscious blend of hot honey and brown sugar, over bacon; quite the delectable appetizer. For the main act, the French Dip Burger paired with a refreshing Blue Moon beer.
The beer tap wall adds an interactive twist, making it as easy as a tap on the screen to pour your brew. I expect a rotation of beers to suit seasonal vibes and just a friendly tip: tilt your glass for that perfect pour, sans...
Read moreI visited here for my birthday dinner this week with my daughter. We loved the idea of outdoor dining and trying somewhere new for the first time. It was taco Tuesday and we decided to order a few plates to share. Everything except for one dish was ok. Nothing to rave about…just ok. One of the taco dishes tasted absolutely horrible. (Coconut shrimp taco) My daughter took two bites of one of the tacos on the plate and I tried a piece of shrimp from the taco. The taste was so bad I thought I would vomit. I very politely asked the server if he could take it back and off our check and we’d order something else, as we absolutely couldn’t stomach it. He appeared shocked that I was asking this and told me they don’t do that. I asked him to ask a manager. He came back and said the manager said no. So I was forced to pay for a dish we couldn’t eat and had barely touched. As someone who used to work as a restaurant manager in both corporate restaurants and family owned, I was shocked. We also never even saw a manager. If I knew a table wasn’t happy with something at my establishment I would absolutely be at their table to make things right. Because it was my birthday dinner I didn’t want to make a scene, but I assure you I won’t be back. On top of it, we spent around $100 for the night between the two of us and will not...
