Will never return to this location due to the unbelievably horrid experience I had today. As someone who works in the resturant business I was truly appalled at the manager of this location. We went for brunch today and left without eating. The resturant was hot and smelled. I am sure it’s been years since they pulled the booths apart to clean them. The floor was slippery with water being tracked from the kitchen by the servers and my friend almost fell on the tile floor walking from the table. non the less we ordered our brunch. The waitress was very polite and got all the details written down.. the crispy hasbrown request to the over medium eggs. After almost an hour waiting and the resturant was at 1/3 capacity we grew impatient and inquired about the wait. At that time the server explained our food was in the window and almost ready. 5 more minutes pass and this woman approaches the table. No excuse me or introduction or even a uniform, she came in attack mode and asked what our problem was with an attitude. We explained that several other guest had gotten their food and had arrived there after us. Come to find out it was a personal vendetta to the waitress, they were pushing her tickets back. They woman who called herself the manager had no professionalism. It’s a shame that I had to explain to her that she should not approach guest like that and should be apologizing for the issue. We are the paying customers. The waitress was behind her trying to set our plates down as the lady was raising her voice and giving us a pile of excuses and we had to ask her to leave the table. The plates were hot and the food was cold. Bacon raw and eggs over cooked. At this point we were so disgusted with her behavior that we no longer wanted to eat let alone wait for them to remake anything. I was literally shaking I was so upset at the way she treated us. We politely apologized to the waitress gave her some cash and told her she deserved a better work environment. Nancy jones needs to retire and get out of the customer service business after the way she treated us today. I’m sure we aren’t the only ones. We ended up driving 30 minutes to huddle house where our food was hot and ready in 15 minutes and the service was excellent. In all my years I’ve never seen such behavior like...

First off, the place reeked. It was hot as hell inside, and I’m not exaggerating — our poor waitress was dripping in sweat like she just ran a marathon. We sat there for almost an hour waiting for food while other people who came in after us were already getting served. Not cool. Someone in our group went up to ask what the deal was, and they said our food was “in the window.” Great — so it’s ready, right? Nope. Five more minutes pass, and still nothing. Then some sweaty woman strolls up to our table with a face like she’s ready to fight. No name tag, no uniform — honestly, we thought she was just a rude customer. Surprise! That was the manager, Nancy Jones. She didn’t introduce herself, didn’t try to help — just argued with us like we were the problem. Her attitude was straight garbage, and she contradicted her own staff right in front of us. Meanwhile, our waitress is standing there behind her holding our food. We literally had to tell this “manager” to walk away so we could just eat. And guess what? After all that, the food was trash. Plates were scorching hot like they'd been sitting under a heat lamp forever, but the food was cold. Hash browns were slimy, everyone’s order was messed up, and my sandwich was a joke — raw bacon that looked like it spent 30 seconds in the microwave, and one slice of jalapeño. Come on. When Nancy came back, I told her straight up: I’m not paying for that garbage. I’ll cover the drinks and that’s it. She made me sit and wait another 10 minutes while she “fixed” the ticket, then still tried to charge me $26.42. For what? An orange juice, an apple juice, and a coffee? Nancy Jones shouldn’t be managing anything, let alone a restaurant. Rude, nasty, and completely out of line. This Denny’s is a hot mess — avoid it...
Read moreI went here late in the evening (or early in the morning, depending on how you look at it) while on a mini vacation with my girlfriend around the end of Feb 2014.
When I walked in, I could immediately feel a tenseness in the air. The hostess was friendly enough, but there was something not quite right.
I sat at the bar and ordered my coke like normal, no issues there, but shortly after I ordered my food, I realized what was wrong. Most of the wait staff seemed to be upset with the manager. They did their best to not make it visible to the whole restaurant, but sitting at the bar is like having a front row seat.
I tried to keep to myself, but I did hear one employee mutter something about how the manager cared more about her bonus than about the employees. When I heard that, I looked at the manager and she was off in her own little world at the cash register. When some problem would come up, or when someone would just come to ask a question, she would bark orders at the employees, and then immediately turn back to whatever it was that she was doing which was very obviously not work related.
The food itself was fine, average; not the best, but not the worst. And the waitress was friendly enough even though it was clearly stressful working there despite the fact that they were not immensely busy. I did, however, leave her a sizable tip because I've been in her situation before.
Someone from corporate should send a few mystery shoppers to eat at the bar overnight there several nights...
