It was Wednesday morning. Monday was cooler. Tuesday was warmer. But on Wednesday we were all getting ready for a hurricane coming up from New Orleans. I'm not from here. We don't have hurricanes and tropical storms in New Mexico where my home is. So on a day when I was particularly tired and a little bit nervous and without my shrimp boots (didn't know the cultural significance of those until recently), I decided to pull into PJ's coffee and try something off the shelf and something to drink. I had a good experience here before. And to see if it was just a fluke I came in today to get something to help me through the morning. Just like before the staff were so kind. There was trainee going on at the same time there was people in the drive-thru and the staff who took my order were so nice so professional so kind and still gave me their maximum attention and care which made my experience again a five-star one. They heated up my muffin which was very kind. They added the extra shot of espresso I needed to my drink. This crew, and the crew after lunch, are amazing and truly represent that thing I heard about called Southern hospitality. The coffee's great The staff are great thank you for making my morning a little brighter on such...
Read moreWow, what a shame! The management needs training about kind of coffees and how to brew them. Twice, they served me regular, drip, cheap, vanilla-flavored coffee as espresso. 😱
The coffee was so hot that I had to let it cool down for about 15 minutes. Espresso cannot be served extra hot. One of the reasons that it is called espresso is because you should drink it as soon as it is served. For that to happen, it cannot be too hot.
As a business advisor and, an espresso lover, I will have to ask you, how come that the Starbucks down the road is not only full inside but, also has a constant line of cars on their drive thru? You are suppose to be a famous local coffee franchise and yet, I counted about 1 new customer every minute and a half.
This business is making too many mistakes but, their potential is so great that my comment is from a professional business advisor and not from a foodie. Seek help, not from a business coach but, from an advisor with experience in this kind of industry. Also, hire some experts from the coffee industry and send then to do tastings throughout...
Read moreThis was my first time ever going to a PJ's and I was so excited!! They absolutely did not disappoint!! I loved the atmosphere, the kind and helpful staff, and the coffee! For me, the coffee I got was a bit too sweet. I always get the same thing everywhere. A French vanilla, caramel latte. I think they may have done double the amount of normal pumps since I got two syrups? Or they serve they're drinks sweeter like Starbucks. I don't know, and it was still YUMMY!!! I just like a little bitter to my coffee drinks.
I REALLY loved that they were decorated for Mardi Gras!!! OMGGGGGGGG that made my heart happy. I mean, obviously, since they're a New Orleans company. That's just half the appeal at least!
Oh, and the seating was delightful!! I am a photographer who was meeting a hair and makeup artist, Jacoria's Secrets, and we sat on the couch and chairs by the entrance with our babies. We talked for probably 3 hours and it was wonderful!!! The staff was so nice and never gave us any funny looks as her daughter played and we both...
