Most of the time the food here is decent. Inflation is definitely hurting their business as I have seen ingredient quality take a hit. Especially with the tuna subs and the quality of the meat used in its steak subs. The meatball sub is a solid choice and won't disappoint, but there are no fries or onion rings here, and only 12 ounce cans for soda.
If you don't feel like dropping $25+ for skimpy portions like it's neighbors, Al's Cafe is a good option. But avoid the steak sub and the tuna sub. This place was a staple for many of the construction workers in the area that didn't brown bag it in, and used to be worthy of 5 stars.
