Incredible experience at the Seaport Hotel Boston. Most incredible service we've ever enjoyed. Found them through Amex Travel and although I knew I liked the Seaport area, I had never stayed at this property before. Best decision ever in 6 years of visiting Boston.
Contacted concierge (Danny) ahead of time to determine transportation recommendations for Nationals at New Balance Track that we were in town for our daughter. Not only did Danny offer transportation and driving recommendations, he also provided pages of recommendations to do, restaurants etc. Due to timing we hoped to arrive early to give her a chance to change before warm ups. Danny offered to chat the day before to confirm if we could arrive before check-in. The day before got away from me and when I called him 15 minutes before he had told me he headed home, he already had an email sent to me confirming when we could arrive and asked our D's name.
Arrival was SO easy ... You're right next to down town but out of the chaos so I could pull up out front, check-in and then parking was in same block down below and offered drive in/out all that day and next and at $35, it was half of most hotels I had looked at in Cambridge and downtown.
Easy check-in with warm smiles. I asked if they could recommend where to pick up safety pins last minute for race bibs and person down the desk opened up a box full of all different sizes from behind the desk. Beautiful flowers throughout, honestly lovely experience from clean, generous lobby to elevators and views from 17th floor overlooking harbor and airport was lovely and quiet.
Room had 2 doubles and everything we could possibly need was cozily included from bathrobe to fridge including bottles of water. In addition, a basket of healthy goodies had been left in our room including a good luck note written to our daughter. The thoughtfulness after a 7 hour car trip the day of her race brought tears to this mama's eyes. Absolutely above and beyond and so thoughtful.
Housekeeping and front desk were prompt and helpful when I called with questions or something I forgot. So accommodating even to my hubby who doesn't like elevators.
Gym area was lovely, although pool happened to be closed the day we planned on. Tread mills and weight room have windows overlooking entire outdoors so you don't feel like your in a dungeon, but instead, part of the city scape. Very large for any city hotel gym I've been to. Beautiful locker and shower areas with steam shower. Towels were available -- they are behind you when you are checking in.
10 out of 10. Comfortable beds, giant walk in shower with rain head and hand held shower. Cozy room but well appointed with thoughtful items, making it not feel like a generic room.
Will be returning every time were in Boston from this point on. Close access to high way, mass transit and even airport but also walkable to close by restaurants and retail options.
And thank you for Danny most of all who set the tone with thoughtfulness, service and kindness. The hotel could not ask for a...
Read moreWe had fun hanging out at the hotel. The view from most rooms in beautiful, however our view was about 50% obstructed by some buildings due to unique design of hotel. However if you are lucky enough to see the beautiful view of water that would be Boston Harbor. Floral arrangements throughout the hotel were absolutely gorgeous white orchids with yellow and purples we’re pleasantly eye-catching. Hotel Covid protocol in cleanliness was surpassed expectation. Overall experience would’ve been absolutely perfect except for being told prior to check-in and reservation that pool was available but Reservation could not be made until checked into the hotel, therefore at arrival that was the first task in which we did due to the fact that our visit was mainly scheduled for pool use, however disappointingly found out that we not only drove an hour extra minus the hour and a half expected travel time that the next available slot wouldn’t be until the day after you were due to check out. I understand not being able to make pool reservation until actually checked in however knowing that they were that booked when we called just an hour prior they should have stated that knowing we were only there for one night. It definitely made me feel some type of way thinking that they just wanted our business but could care less what our intentions to stay at their facility was. I went with another family that had a separate room in which they ate at the hotel I personally didn’t so can’t share much insight however she said the food was absolutely excellent I did go down to the area and it was very nice however I did notice that when I left for dinner she was there however when I got back from dinner she had just gotten her drinks and had an even had the option to begin in order.! Personally from a parent of a 13-year-old and a current two-year-old that would not be anywhere acceptable for me due to my nerves totally being shot at that point from my screaming to your old understandably extremely bored by that time not to mention starving. Chicken clued if you need to stay in this area and you’re looking for a great view just make sure you confirm that’s the case at check-in and if you need the pool I would definitely look into another place because even after being told one thing clearly that wouldn’t be the case at check-in. If you don’t need do use the pool or care to eat at the restaurant if you’re not in any type of rush I would wanna waste time then that would be your best option and hotel is definitely a...
Read moreAbsolutely great place, I highly recommend staying here.
I was here for a conference at the exhibition center across the bridge and it was so well connected. You can access the direct bridge on the 3rd floor of this hotel.
The rooms were so comfortable and clean! I had a room on the top floor and it was an obstructed view but I had a lot of natural light every morning. The bed was super comfortable, but the pillows were a bit flat (didn’t expect any different from feather pillows).
The bathroom was also really nice with a spacious, walk-in shower that had dispensers attached to the wall for body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. There was also space to put your own products, which many hotels don’t have, so I appreciated that. The hair dryer is a bit harsh because it doesn’t have a diffuser on the end, but that was a minor detail — I’m not complaining.
The hotel lobby was also a really nice feature of staying here. It rained the day after I arrived and I needed a place to work, so I went downstairs and found a lovely seating area next to a fireplace (that’s always on) that fit the bill perfectly. There are outlets and tables that are free for your use.
The restaurant in the hotel is a bit pricey and they don’t do room service, but you can go down and get your food to go for your room very easily. It’s just a wait, so keep that in mind. I ordered a pepperoni pizza (1 topping), which cost me $23 to take it away myself, and I had to wait almost half an hour for it. But it was tasty, so there’s that.
I’d definitely come back if I get the chance, the staff were lovely and welcoming. They also had a concierge that was available to help guests with so many things that I didn’t get to take advantage of… and they had complimentary bike rentals that I wish I had the time to...
