What a beautiful location in the Seaport with a great variety of beer flavors, drinks and food menu. I am thankful for the shareable plates! The shareables made it easier to order and enjoy the experience. The sweet chili chicken is a must try. The meat fell off the bone and was very flavorful. The customer service was exceptional from the minute you walk in the host and security greet you with a nice warm welcome. Yes, I said Security, not your average security. The two I have seen there were interactive and still professional. Throughout my visit the cheerful waiter checked in and not in an annoying way, it was settle and just enough. The vibe of the music and atmosphere is comfortable. Looking around I felt as if I was at a cocktail wedding party meaning everyone seem to be having a great time together. The open floor concept allows you to see the full restaurant. Everyone is still in a private setting and able to enjoy their own guest at their high top tables, booths or bar seating. It's just nice to look around and see everyone enjoying their time. I got to experience both the booth for dinner and as soon as I finished I moved over to the Bar. The bar seating was more personable, I was able to chat with a male bartender and two lovely ladies who made me their very own specialty cocktails. I picked my spirit of choice, and the bartenders came up with two drinks. One I didn't catch a name of and the other she named Orange Peach Passion. The cocktail was sweet and refreshing, perfect after a great meal.
I look forward to returning once the weather is in the 70's to enjoy the gorgeous patio I saw set up from the glass garage doors in the restaurant. I love this added touch to the restaurant, goes great with...
Read moreI was on the fence about writing this review as I tend to respect a grace periods for new restaurants but well here we go.... We were floored by the appearance of Lord Hobo. We were politely greeted upon entry and directed to seat ourselves at their bar. First of all I will give credit where it is due and say the bar was beautiful. They have an unconventional set up that was explained by a polite young woman and we were excited to hear they will be serving house cocktails and have a full bar, as my husband drinks beer and I do not. That is where the excitement ended. We waited 15 minutes with empty glasses while listening to the bartender tell another employee she has the owner wrapped around her finger and insult the chefs intelligence right in front of customers and the other bartender talked to her friends like we were not as important. My husband eventually got another beer and I just got a water as we were almost through with our meals. The food was delicious, not sure what makes the chicken sandwich so special but that was the saving grace of our visit. Not sure we will be back any time soon, which is disappointing because the patio is...
Read moreDid not enjoy my visit here. First, the service was unnecessarily long and we had inconsistent wait staff. Our first waitress who seated us was very friendly. But the second water was a guy who clearly didn't want to be there and had a bad attitude like getting impatient when we weren't ready to choose our meals.
They were out of several menu items during a weekday around 6:30 to 7pm and the drink "Zen garden" or whatever I ordered was underwhelming. I wasn't expecting something strong, in fact, I don't even like strong drinks. But the drink I had was just so bland and uninteresting it felt like a waste of money.
The burger I had was fine (until it came back up later that night) but the coworkers I went with were not impressed with their meals nor the lack of available selections. They didn't even have a brown ale for my one associate.
Ambience was annoyingly loud with people yelling and laughing way too loud, making me regret choosing to eat indoors when it's been so hot out. The experience was so disappointing I regretted suggesting my coworkers come to Lord Hobo.
If I find myself in Boston again, I would avoid this place...
