I had the absolute pleasure of dining at The Yankee Lobster in the Boston Seaport district, and let me tell you, it was a solid 5-star experience from start to finish. My quest for the best lobster roll in Boston had led me to many whispers about this place, and I can proudly say that it did not disappoint.

My first lobster roll experience in Boston had left me yearning for something more substantial, so I was eager to sink my teeth into what Yankee Lobster had to offer. Conveniently, it was just a short 10-minute walk from my hotel, but I can honestly say I would have happily trekked 30 minutes for it.

When I approached the counter to place my order, I initially inquired about the fried lobster roll. However, the gentleman behind the counter urged me to try their most popular item, the butter lobster roll. With a bit of anticipation and a hint of nervousness, I decided to take his advice.

And let me tell you, when that butter lobster roll arrived at my table, I was absolutely floored. The lobster meat was not only generous but also in massive, succulent chunks. To top it off, I found four whole lobster claws nestled within the sandwich itself. It was a lobster lover's dream come true.

I can confidently proclaim that this lobster roll at The Yankee Lobster is the best I have ever had. The flavors were impeccable, the lobster meat was abundant and perfectly cooked, and the buttery goodness tied everything together harmoniously.

If you're on the hunt for the ultimate lobster roll experience in Boston, look no further than The Yankee Lobster. It's a true gem in the Seaport district, and I can't recommend it...

Here’s a glowing review for Yankee Lobster:

Authentic New England Seafood at Yankee Lobster

Yankee Lobster is a hidden gem in Boston’s Seaport District, offering some of the freshest and most delicious seafood around. If you’re craving classic New England fare in a casual, no-frills setting, this is the place to be. The menu is a seafood lover’s dream. I opted for the lobster roll, which was nothing short of perfection. The lobster meat was tender, sweet, and generously portioned, with just the right amount of seasoning and a buttery toasted roll. The clam chowder was rich, creamy, and loaded with fresh clams—a must-try! Everything tasted incredibly fresh, reflecting Yankee Lobster’s origins as a family-run seafood market. The vibe is casual and inviting, with a rustic seaside charm. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy top-quality seafood without the pretense of fine dining. You order at the counter, and the food is brought to your table. The outdoor seating area is especially nice on a sunny day, offering views of the Seaport and a relaxed ambiance. For the quality and freshness of the food, the prices are incredibly reasonable. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, you’re getting excellent value for authentic New England seafood.

Yankee Lobster is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience Boston’s seafood scene. It’s unpretentious, delicious, and quintessentially New England. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite or a full meal, you’ll leave satisfied and already planning...

Tried out Yankee Lobster while visiting Boston, and it was definitely a cool experience — even if I walked away realizing lobster rolls might not really be my thing. We got two lobster rolls and a basket of shrimp and fries. The lobster rolls were super filling, and I have to say, the bread they use is amazing — buttery, soft, and perfectly toasted. If you’re into lobster, you’ll probably love it. For me, it was just one of those “glad I tried it in Boston” moments, but I don’t see myself craving one again.

The shrimp and fries were solid — fried just right and definitely hit the spot. The food overall was good, but what stood out more was the experience of trying it fresh by the bay. The location is right off the Boston Harbor.

That said, the place was really busy, and finding a seat was tough. Plus, the music inside and outside was loud — like unnecessarily loud. It was hard to talk or even think, honestly. Definitely not the place for a quiet meal or catching up with someone.

Also, heads up: it’s pricey. Just two drinks, two lobster rolls, and a shrimp basket ran us over a hundred bucks. I get that seafood is expensive, especially fresh lobster, but it still stings a bit when the total hits triple digits for a casual lunch.

Overall, I’m glad we went — it’s one of those “you gotta try it once in Boston” spots. The food was good, and it’s a fun, bustling place by the water, but between the noise, the crowds, and the price, it’s not something I’d go out of my way to do again. Worth the...
