El Jefe's Taqueria in Boston has top-notch burritos and a variety of other delicious Mexican dishes. The cozy atmosphere, good service, and quick service make it a must-visit spot. Highly recommended. Full Review: El Jefe's Taqueria in Boston exceeded my expectations with its fantastic selection of Mexican cuisine. While the tacos and other dishes are undoubtedly delicious, it was the burrito that stole the show for me. As a self-proclaimed burrito aficionado, I can confidently say that El Jefe's burrito was one of the best I've ever had. The flavors were bold and delicious, and each bite was a delightful blend of ingredients. I opted for the classic carne asada filling, and it did not disappoint. The meats were well-seasoned, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. The Jarritos soda was a perfect accompaniment to my meal, adding a refreshing touch to the experience. To cap off the meal, I tried the Spanish flan (which some of you may know as crème caramel, flan, caramel pudding, condensed milk pudding or caramel custard) for the first time along with having my first ever Jarritos, and it was a delightful end to the meal. Creamy, sweet, and perfectly complemented by the caramel sauce, it was a fitting conclusion to a fantastic dining experience. The restaurant itself has a cozy atmosphere with just the right amount of seating. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service, and the food was prepared quickly without compromising on quality. El Jefe's Taqueria is a must-visit for anyone craving great Mexican flavors in Boston. Whether you're a burrito enthusiast like me or just looking for a delicious meal, this place has something for everyone. Highly recommended. Note: My burrito was hearty and delicious. So much so that I forgot to take a picture and scarfed it down, and I took a consolation picture of my flan and soda instead. --- You can find me on Insta: @imdanielyoon

As you will see from the attached photos what I paid for and what I got were not the same. The food was also not even warm, again some parts cold. I paid for a double portion for my chicken bowl, I did not get that. It had sour cream instead of guacamole. The meat was also pretty tough, and the rice should have been white not Mexican in the bowl. I paid for 3 tacos and there was like 5 pieces of cubed chicken sprinkled in one taco and the other two tacos barely had any. The chicken that was in the tacos was dried out, and the mango salsa and other things I requested were barely present. My plantains were burnt, to the point where the color changed to black and parts were inedible and too tough to chew. My drink was like it was the actual drink on the bottom and water poured on top to help dilute it, and no, there was no ice present in the drink. The chips and guacamole I got the chips were oddly cold, but tasted okay, and the guacamole was weirdly peppered. I am also having some weird reaction where I am now wheezing and need to take an antihistamine when nothing in the ingredients should be causing this sort of reaction. I don't know why this happened, but this should have not happened. This is not okay. I will be disputing the charges with my bank to be refunded, and have contacted Door Dash, who only offered me $26 of a refund for a $49 order. I also contacted the business directly via email. Save your money, and head elsewhere.

This was my first visit. I think it's pronounced El Jefes. This is one of their locations on Commonwealth Ave in Boston, Massachusetts. It's on the campus at the Boston University. The food was very good in the service was excellent. You'll know the photos that I posted. The atmosphere is very clean and relaxing. Music is being played and has an open kitchen concept and you can see that it is well maintained. One of the most important things in a public service establishment is the bathroom. I always give high marks If the bathroom is nice and clean and that was the case here. They had paper towels available and an air hand dryer. The fixtures were very well kept. It made for a comfortable experience. The staff of course is very important and these people operating the business where well-mannered and polite. I enjoyed my time and the experience there and the price was very reasonable, especially for an establishment in Boston, one of the largest cities in the northeast. Enjoy your visit. I think you'll love it!

Had the absolute worst experience here out of any restaurants that I have ever been to. I am a frequent customer and the guy making my order was extremely rude, and decided to give me LITERALLY a teaspoon quantity of all portions as he was on a power trip trying to prove he could do whatever he wanted with my food. When I pointed out and kindly requested I could have more, as I frequent this establishment often and know that there's no way I would get a TEASPOON amount of meat for my bowl, he basically screamed at me and said no and to basically move on. He was kind of young (mid-late 20s), with chains and a buzz cut I think. This came as a surprise because I did nothing to receive this treatment and am usually extra polite to service workers because I understand the struggle of rude customers. I also asked for chips on the side which was never put in my bag. I will be taking by business elsewhere and will also be informing my friends who also frequent this restaurant. HORRIBLE SERVICE. (This happened on...
