It is a small space inside, so be prepared to eat outside or get your food for pick-up and take it somewhere scenic. This is a weird review to write because I had really good tasty, knife and fork worthy, and then I had "what is this?" not good oxtail. So I ordered two plates: 1. Jerk chicken with rice and peas, plantain, and their ginger coleslaw. 2. Oxtail, collard greens, rice and peas, with plantain. The first plate was less spice than normal for jerk chicken, but still so flavorful and juicy, not dry! She pulled it out of the main buffet stain behind the counter where you order. Compostable bowls and recycleable tops are also a clear win for me. It was so good I clean the plate. If I left 2 rice crumbs behind I would be surprised. I ate that in store as I was starving and she said the oxtail was going to take 10 minutes. She took my plate behind another door to the chef section and more industrial kitchen I assume? When I couldn't really smell the oxtail when she brought it out, I should have known right there. The oxtail usually has its own gravy of sorts, but this was like pure oil and no flavor! I was so upset. Some pieces tender and others not. The collards still had too much bitterness in them, and little seasoning. I could barely even taste the other veggies they put because the oxtail grease just coated my tongue. I stopped eating that and just finished the rice and peas with the plantain. Such a bummer! I wanted to get a smoothie, but decided to instead just go get some melon elsewhere for my after dinner treat. I hear the smoothies are great, but I don't know what to tell you about anything else. I also bit down into something and since I couldn't tell if it was a tough piece of seasoning or not I just spat it out. It think the food is worth the trip, just don't get the oxtail. They are wheelchair accessible, and have a bathroom for customers in the lobby. FYI.

I’m actually surprised the food did not taste how it smelled. Portions 10/10, freshness 10/10, flavor 4/10. I ordered a jerk chicken plate with coconut rice and sweet plantain and kale Cesar salad. The Kale Cesar was the absolute best thing on the plate. Unfortunately I was expecting some sort of spice when it came to the jerk chicken but overall what I was given was baked chicken. There didn’t seem to be ANY Jerk seasoning at all. The coconut rice also just taste like white rice with a hint of coconut. Sweet plantain were good as well. I would return for the KALE CESAR for sure. The mini curry chicken empanadas were ok. Smelled like curry more than it tasted like curry.

EDIT: Editing this review to say that the general manager, Victor, asked that I give him a call. He apologized for the misunderstanding and agreed that I should have been able to get the plantains in a separate container. He said they had retrained the employee and offered me a full refund for my entire order in the form of a credit that I can use in the future. I appreciated his candor and the remedy of the situation and look forward to continuing to visit and eat at Fresh Food Generation.

I’ll start my review by saying that I absolutely love Fresh Food Generation’s food. However, their service is subpar given the price point and how long it takes to get your food. They used to have a young man who was an absolutely joy and would greet customers with a smile and the nicest demeanor. I went this week to make an order as I’d decided I’d get dinner from here to celebrate my mom’s birthday. Boy was that a mistake. Not only did my food take nearly a half hour to receive. Two of my orders were missing the plantains that come standard with a rice plate (I triple checked they came with the order when I placed it). After waiting a very long time I get to my car only to find that two of my orders are missing plantains. I go back inside with the plates and tell the young lady with short hair that my order was missing plantains and asked if she could just bring me side order of plantains with the number of plantains that would come standard with my orders. She then proceeded to tell me she’d had to charge me EXTRA for the plantains THEY forgot to give me that I had already paid for. She told me she could take the plates back to the kitchen add the plantains and then bring me back the plates. I told her I was in a rush and that simply putting the plantains in a separate container would be best for me. She refused saying only that she would need to charge me extra for that. I had already spent nearly $80 on three rice plates and drinks so to be told I had to pay extra for plantains they forgot to give me after I had already waited nearly half an hour was extremely disappointing. Their service needs serious work and I hope they take the opportunity to improve it as they could add value to the community but their customers don’t deserve to get...

We recently had the pleasure of working with Fresh Food Generation to cater a party for 150 people, and the experience was fantastic. From our very first interaction with the catering director, we knew we were in great hands. The team was incredibly accommodating and responsive, helping us select and perfectly tweak a Jamaican-inspired menu that would delight all of our guests. .The buffet was a beautiful spread, featuring delightfully authentic flavors and an impressive range of options. It was so important to us that everyone felt included, and Fresh Food Generation delivered flawlessly, offering delicious vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, along with a wide spectrum of spice levels—from zero heat to mild and medium. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how wonderful everything tasted. Beyond the incredible food, the service on the day of the event was truly exceptional. The staff was professional, attentive, and handled every detail with grace. Their commitment was put to the ultimate test when a sudden wind storm swept through the event, but the Fresh Food Generation team handled the challenge with remarkable composure. They were our absolute heroes, helping us navigate the unexpected situation with professionalism and ensuring the party continued smoothly. Fresh Food Generation is more than just a caterer; they are true partners in making your event a success. Their wonderful food, impeccable service, and ability to handle any challenge with a smile made our party unforgettable. We cannot recommend them...
