Pollo Campero — Restaurant in Boston

really disappointed that they discontinued their fried chicken sandwiches which you could order a side of fries and drink. that's the only thing i really liked about this place i don't care for the chicken honestly to me it doesn't look or sound all that good chicken is something i can get anywhere and it was nice that they had this option i guess until a few years ago before they renovated. wont be returning if the one thing they no longer have is on the menu should have kept it as a side meal not everyone wants just chicken pieces and bowls and stuff like that just because they are in East Boston / Chelsea does NOT mean there are not white people also ( non spanish) who live here and prefer more traditional American Style and now i know WHY they only have 2 locations and none others around they keep up that trend within 10 years they will both close if i want a more authentic meal i would rather eat at Latinos across from Santarpios. and its only a short 5-7 minute walk from here after you cut across walgreens and over the bridge so close by that you dont need the chicken from this place at least they are ran by a real latino family and not some chain restaurant.

( PS i wrote this review like a year or 2 ago but ever since i have discovered that they no longer sell them i have NOT returned to this location apparently them or google didnt like my review so be forewarned if its been a while since you have gone there and was craving one like me i was NOT happy and basically said goodbye and good luck with your TWO locations you guys...

My food was pretty good! I was walking by and saw the special for the camberitos which is like a 6 piece chicken tenders with your choice of sauce and side plus a roll. I was pleasantly surprised by the $6 special because even though the advertisement of the chicken looked tasty, one of the reviews said it was the worst item on the menu so I kind of didn’t have high expectations. But when my food arrived it was very well cooked and seasoned. I wish I knew how to post a picture on here to showcase the deliciousness. Highly recommend!

The cashier who took my order was pleasant and the lady who brought my order was also pleasant. My only suggestions would be to add butter to the rolls bc I believe they were warm but just no butter. They also have a semi sweet taste that I like. My other suggestion would be to not just clean off the tables but sweep the floor too after patrons leave but overall great experience. I’ll be back to try the other items...

Their chicken is great in my opinion but their customer service is very lacking, I ordered online and to go in store for pick up, I get there there’s only one person infront of me (a miracle) I pay and I wait……AND WAIT AND WAIT, there’s lots of workers upfront and all they’re doing is staring into space they dont communicate, so i eventually ask someone if my order is ready…….. ITS BEEN READY….. had to heat up my chicken at home, ridiculous, they don’t communicate with ticketing, if the cashier hands the ticket over to the expedition that is then their job to get the food to the person, thats also why they slowly start to get packed because they don’t communicate. It shouldn’t be the customer having to ask if the order is completed when its an online order, it should have been done and handed the minute...
