Marshalls is always a roll of the dice. Yes, they have a standard set of goods for the home and for men, women and children. So if you need socks or basic shirt or even some new towels you go there and for reasonable price you get what you're looking for. At any given point in time you could stumble upon a high end designer shirt discounted for $11, or a set of adjustable weights that you saw on Amazon for $30 for $4.99. I don't know if this is intentional or not, but this is the same principle used in casinos. Read moreRude! The item is marked down at $2 (the one with like 10 red and yellow discounts applied) but as the cashier tries to scan it the sticker appears to be improperly placed as she re-peals it, apparently it was covering a "0". Instead of apologizing, the assistant called over, in somewhat abrasive fashion, argues "that's how it works" and "that's how they place the tags." And its the same lady every time - management is aware of her rudeness and prepared to apologize profusely, promising more training, but nothing changes.
Not helping either - the manager comes over, apologizes but won't honor the price asking to pay $20 from the sticker under (in violation of the M.G.L., but I will just take my business somewhere else.)
Otherwise, slightly subpar in selection and prices compared to alternative Marshall's. Definitely adheres to a lower standard than most...
