Update 11/14/19:
I wanted to provide an update as it has been 10 months since my original 2-star review below. I'm not sure what kind of place Trinity Management is running here, or if they are even running it at all (who knows?!!)
Coordinating our move-out has been a nightmare. I've had to follow up 6 times through various channels to get information on how to extend our lease by 1 month, and got very cryptic and conflicting responses from Candy and Amber until Erick finally stepped in to provide clear information. A month later, we had to add 5 different contacts to our Notice to Vacate since we literally do not even know who works here anymore. The turnover is SO high and people are out of office most of the time.
I mentioned in my previous review that tenants have resorted to submitting work orders to get someone in the office to respond. They now shamelessly mark the requests as "Work Completed" with zero follow-up or acknowledgement. They may be kind and responsive to potential tenants, but will literally ghost you and leave you on read after you've signed that lease. Beware.
I feel sorry to all of the new tenants who were told that the fire alarm situation was resolved. We were awoken by a blaring false alarm at 5:45AM earlier this week and forced to evacuate in the freezing cold. Absolutely no follow up or explanation from the property managers.
Original Review:
We moved in a little over 6 months ago, with hopes that renting a unit in a luxury apartment building would be well worth the extra distance and money. I'm sad to say that Boston East has been a big disappointment so far.
The fire alarm tends to randomly go off, and has happened about 7 times since we've moved in. This means waking up in the middle of the night in fight or flight mode, scrambling to leash your dogs and dress your kids, and waiting outside in the freezing cold until the fire department arrives and clears the building. Of all of the times this has happened, the building management has only acknowledged the problem ONCE, and described it as a malfunction in the garage vents. The problem has NOT been resolved or mentioned since, and the fire alarm sometimes goes off multiple times per night where the process of evacuating has to be repeated.
The "kayak launch" is just a stretch of concrete on the shoreline that is littered with syringes (yes, SYRINGES) and trash. I've never seen a single person kayaking in that water, and probably for a good reason. Before we moved in, the leasing office told us that kayaks would be rented out for tenants to enjoy, but that has not happened. Not a big deal, but it's misleading that this is still being advertised.
I will say that the building is very nicely maintained and they do a great job keeping the common areas clean. The outdoor amenities were appreciated during the summertime. Work orders are promptly fulfilled, however, we've had a difficult time reaching the leasing office or management after signing our lease. Emails often go unanswered, and we've resorted to submitting work orders to get the office to respond.
I'm sharing my experience here, as most of the reviews seem to come from tenants who have not been living in the building for longer than a month. Had I known of these issues, I would have strongly reconsidered moving to...
Read moreI live on the first floor of Boston east from 2019 to 2020.
It is undeniable that the surrounding environment is excellent, and the apartment is beautiful.
However, first of all, what bothered me is that the management company of this apartment has been changing during my stay.
Secondly, when I lived there, a female faculty member at the front desk was quite rude and gave me an uncomfortable feeling in 2019. That night I forgot to bring the lobby key; I proved to her that I lived in this apartment, then She told me very impatiently that she was not responsible for opening the door for anyone. Still, when others came in and out of the apartment, she politely helped others open the door. And I felt highly uncomfortable because I think she is rude to me due to my race.
When I left the apartment in 2020, the condo did not send me an email check-out reminder a few months in advance, but when I lived in other apartments, I received a check-out reminder three months in advance.
So before I moved out in September, I told the apartment that I wanted to check out one month in advance, that is, about 30 days.
However, because Boston's check-out policy was to notify the managers to check out 60 days in advance, they did not return me any deposit, saying that my deposit should be counted as the new month's rent just because I didn’t let them know 60days advance. I didn't get my deposit of 3000 + dollars.
Even though I was unhappy about the apartment management when I lived there, but now, a year later, I recommended my friend to rent the apartment in Boston East. Because I thought what happened to me was just my Carelessness. The apartment building itself and surrounding areas are lovely. But some things happen to my friends that I refer to.
Because my friends were in an international time zone, the communication was not exceptionally smooth. My friend applied for a house and paid a 500$ application fee. However, the strict time requirements of the apartment management gave my friends minimal time to complete the background preparation and providing of bank statements.
When my friends submitted the bank statement, they said it was not standard. They need three months' bank statements; therefore, after a series of turnovers, the apartment canceled the apartment application and told my friends that the application deposit of $500 is non-refundable.
Overall, if you are looking for a community with warm service and friendly staff, here is not the place to looking for. Boston East apartment is a beautiful building, but the operation and unfriendly apartment management are unacceptable. If you need a less disappointing apartment, I don't think this is what you are looking for. The one star only gives to the surrounding...

Brief Storyline:
We had a terrifying experience with the 24/7 concierge bringing a legitimately dangerous man straight up to our specific units door at 1:00am on a Tuesday night. We had dropped our keys in the car that had dropped us off 3 hours earlier in the evening. We were unaware they were missing and continued on with our quiet evening. The driver of the car that we had already at this point, reported for being extremely unsafe returned 3 hours later and asked for our information - the concierge then LOOKED our unit up and walked him directly to our units front door. The concierge knew nothing about us and the driver could have only possibly had our first name from the app. There was no unit number and the actual drop off pin was Mcdonalds down the street. So the suspicion was extremely escalated on how the interaction went about and why. We needed to know the details on what led them to our door. It was an awful, unsafe feeling knowing that man knew exactly where we live from here on out.
When we asked for the policies and procedures if someone not authorized (especially when you are NOT expecting them) is to ask for your information; They had no response and did not even attempt to create on the spot a policy stating what should be done. They legitimately did not have one. This dangerous man was not only give our information but physically walked straight to our door. It took dozens of emails and even lawyers** for anyone from Trinity to even respond. All we wanted (and are still looking for) is answers. Our lawyers asked for the video footage from the front desk that night and Boston East security camera''s "had lost it". Please keep in mind this is the most brief version that could be told of this story - In the end their response was "the concierge was making a genuine effort to give back our possession we "irresponsibly" left in the drivers car".
If safety matter to you in the slightest: DO NOT LIVE HERE.
After going through the reviews, I have to also agree with everything stated in all the lowest rated reviews as well as the incident above lead to us moving out. Trinity Management clearly has no control or organization in this building. Dealing with them and management is a nightmare. You never know who is in charge or when, if at all, they are going to answer you on requests, comments,...
