If you want some good home-cooked Jamaican food then go to the Right Taste. I read what some People are saying in their Jamaican food postings. Yes, you can get too much rice at times or you can be served more bone than meat on some plates. This is why you need to check what you're paying for before you leave. I know the Right Taste shows you the order before He or She packs it to go. So if you want the BEST Jerk Pork in Boston then go there. I know when Karen (R.I.P.) 🙏🏼 was in the kitchen cooking it was excellent!!! 🥰

*Update: Ever since this New York-based commercial fast food type Restaurant chain came to Mattapan, The Right Taste has added discounted plates to their menu & they are open later than 6:00 PM *

I'm not sure if the food is good or not. I called my order in and the person that answered was RUDE. She hung up before I completely finished ordering and once I arrived as soon as I walked in the lady asked me "What do you want" really rude as if I was bothering her and i said excuse me and she asked what would I like to order. I told her I called my order in and she asked what I wanted I told her I ordered the jerk and she wanted to take my order all over. I asked her if my order was ready she said she was busy and she did not get the order and I told her she could have placed me on hold if she was that busy instead of hanging up on me. The service sucked and they will never get a dime...

I crave their escoviche snapper, a fav of mine being pesco-vegetarian, although at times its too spicy even for me! They are great people I frequent regularly, and long term for takeout as theres limited seating. I always try to introduce my friends who've enjoyed what they got as well.
