Shaking Seafood (Dorchester) — Restaurant in Boston

I absolutely love the food! But the staff and very rude. The server (both times that I been there) seemed so in a rush. First time there, My sister was trying to understand better the sauces and the lady wasn’t helpful, and so ready for my sister to finish the order. They brought us food and didn’t bring us the utensils, and when we asked they did not bother to apologize or anything. Second time, my husband and I went there at 9:10ish PM. Same thing happened, so ready to take the order, they had at the door that they close at 10:30PM. The food came fast and was delicious. At 9:30PM they started cleaning and pushing tables and chairs, making loud noises. I don’t mind starting cleaning early but, at least keep the noise at minimum and make sure you’re not pressuring you customers to leave because you closing. It was Really uncomfortable. The place is nice, the inside is really beautiful, and you guys have the best deals and it’s cheap compared to other places. Terrible Experience – Would Not Recommend

I had a really disappointing experience at Shaking Seafood. From the moment I sat down, the customer service was off. I was shocked to find out I had to pay $4 just to sit at a table — something I’ve never encountered at a restaurant before. On top of that, I was charged an extra $5 just to eat ‘crab’ that I had already paid for. It honestly felt like they were just looking for ways to nickel-and-dime customers.

To make things worse, the service was extremely unprofessional. Our waitress rolled her eyes multiple times during our visit and had a rude, condescending attitude the entire time — not just toward us, but toward other customers as well. It made the whole experience uncomfortable and frustrating.

The food might be mediocre but it’s hard to enjoy a meal when you’re being overcharged and disrespected. I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a good...

i had more than an excellent time coming here, just stellar and phenomenal service. the servers had a lot of knowledge and attention when it came down to us being first time customers and not knowing what to order! interior was beautiful AND bathroom was clean with a nice interior as well, despite being a little tiny restaurant. the food was flavorful and placed out in a timely manner, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. we came in at 9pm but finished eating at 11pm, which we felt really bad about. nonetheless, the staff were generous enough to let us stay past their closing time and didn’t rush us to leave. we tried our best to eat quickly and clean up properly, but we were just shocked at the fact that the service was just really superb for a seafood boil place. i would highly recommend everyone i know to give this...
