My first time I went there I found it to be a quiet place which is what I was looking for as I was trying to get some work done for a few hours. It was cold outside in January and this place was the perfect spot to be in, not to cold or warm inside. Just warm enough to eat ice cream and not freeze. I'm sure this place can get busy as I was told, but I happened to find it at the right time. The ice cream was impeccable and come in multiple flavors, they had my favorite ice cream in two options. Variety of light snacks along with coffee. Decent prices, but of course that is relative. Descent low volume, music playing in the background, but not overpowering, still able to hold a conversation, without being drowned. They also are a clean establishment. Customer service was great, I called in before going to check it out and they were very friendly over the phone and even more cordial in person. Parking is descent on the surrounding streets, only two parking spaces for customers in lot behind library for Chill on Park customers though, yet I'm sure it is more busy in the summer time, a time when it's more reasonable to walk further distances in the event parking is not immediately available ( at least for me). I only wish they stayed open longer like until 10pm or 9 , they close at 7pm and had more plug outlets for customers who want to stay a little longer, I suggest going on with a fully charged battery or bringing in your own cordless charger for your devices if your staying for a while. However all in all I was impressed, I hardly spend my time writing reviews but I was compelled for this one. Will be going back. If you are looking for a nice ice cream/cafe/coffee shop in Dorchester check...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA friend of mine raved about this place and highly encouraged me to pop by. Needless to say, I am glad I did! I got the Belgium Waffle and it was delicious, but the best part was being met by such welcoming and friendly people. Wendy was so genuine and incredibly sweet to not only me but every customer that walked through the door. Upon walking in, Alex immediately greeted me with such animation and cheerfulness. Chill on Park is a very aesthetic, creative ice cream shop. The name couldnāt have been better because āchillā perfectly describes the dine-in experience here. Guests are able to enjoy not just their ice cream treat, but also great music, beautiful scenery, and there is even a play station for kids! Reviewers have mentioned the staffing being a unprofessional and I can agree that the kidās personal conversations do subtract a bit from the experience and with a more mature staff this place would be remarkable. Nonetheless, I highly encourage stopping by! Thanks Wendy for being such...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreChill on Park has THE best ice cream and pastries in town. I go here so often that I will still be updating with cups and pints of ice cream, but this is what I'm starting off with for now. They have a wide variety of ice cream flavors, cones, pies, and candies to choose from. On this particular morning, I had some of the My Grandma's Coffee Cake, which was moist, sweet, and flavorful. They actually keep a shot glass of water in the case to keep the cake from drying out.
My favorite flavors of ice cream are the Extreme Chocolate and Salted Caramel Truffle. The chocolate is... very chocolatey and the salted caramel truffle has delicious chocolate covered caramel chunks in it. Also, while it is only a seasonal flavor, Pumpkin Oreo is also a top choice for me. It is also really easy to order from them on UberEats and Door Dash! Be sure to go here for any and all ice cream needsāI never go without a pint of Chill on Park ice cream...
