I’ve visited a number times over the last few months to give this place a decent chance. I liked the flavor of most of the dishes I tried but hope they improve in some service aspects, otherwise it’s hard to justify returning for a subpar experience. Service is bare bones which I’m normally fine with, but often it’s to the point where you can’t catch anyone for several minutes when you need something, and the staff can be blunt and don’t seem like they want to help. They forgot a dish in our order (naan) and we had to remind them twice, didn’t end up getting it until we had almost finished the rest of our food. Also said the kitchen was backed up so we wouldn’t get any additional orders for a while. Would only recommend dining in on weekdays when it’s almost empty, definitely not weekends. As soon as there are more than 2 tables the staff and kitchen get overwhelmed and service gets even worse. I’ve only ever seen 2 people working in the front, also covering delivery orders, so they likely need to staff more people for decent service. They can be stingy with small extras like the papadum chutney/sauces and white rice. Whether it’s 4 people or 1 person, 3 or 1 curries, they only give one serving of rice. Entree servings are a reasonable size, but seem overpriced considering the amount and experience. I liked the lamb vindaloo and chicken appetizer. Would not recommend the appetizer platter, liked the veg samosa but there’s not much meat for a meat platter and it’s mostly fried batter. Minor point- there was some dried food crusted on my water glass. Overall, I don’t think the price is worth the experience, but would like to return if the service improves...

I went here for dinner last Monday night. The place was packed with customers and had about a dozen food delivery drivers waiting for their orders.

It was about 7:25 and I put my name down on the list for a table. The guy behind the counter said it would be about 20 mins.

As I see the restaurant turn over, I could clearly see the focus was on fulfilling the high volume of delivery orders and the patrons inside the restaurant were a secondary priority. There were even 3 tables that were waiting to be cleaned which one of the parties waiting for a table ended up cleaning themselves.

I kept asking the various employees on the status of my table and the response was “just a few more mins” finally, at 830 I asked the guy at the desk “how much longer - I’ve been waiting for an hour” and he had the audacity to tell me “we are closing soon, so to go orders only”

I was appalled…I told him I had been waiting an hour and there were clearly a few tables that were sitting dirty waiting to be cleaned for the last 15 mins. I have my order ready and can put it in my order immediately.

He didn’t care and asked me to order it “to go” or come back another time. WOW.

Unfortunately customer service is DEAD and this place has lost a customer for life. I encourage you to try different options as this place doesn’t care for your patronage and prides itself on a lack of communication. Incredibly frustrating.

To management, I’m not sure if this is a employee shortage issue or lack of customer empathy. Please fix if you want to survive in...

I am a local and live in Dorchester my whole life and I decided to finally give this place a try since I have heard some good reviews from a friend. Never have I have received such horrible customer service in my life just from a pick up order. (All i wanted was plate and and some veggie samosas)

Story time: I called on the phone Friday afternoon to place an order for pick up and the lady that answered took my order asked for my number, name ect. And said the wait time would be an hour (I was hungry but I have been dying to try this place so I was willing to wait) I guess she was not expecting that and then had a sarcastic tone, repeating how they were so busy and do I really want to wait. I said “yes, is it possible for you to give me a call when it is ready or almost ready”, she replied with “ ok what’s the number?”. I repeated my number again. I called back after an hour to see if it was almost finished before I walked over to pick it up, this time another woman picked up and she continued with asking me what order I would like to place, I then just asked how much would be the total? she then passes it off to the original lady that took my order and she said (after going back and forth about which one is actually my order) “ that order has been ready awhile ago”, I asked why didn’t know one call me?” Her response “ Your order is ready, bye” (something along those lines and hung up in my...

Where do I even begin… this place is advertised as best Indian food in Boston 2018. It seems a lot has changed since then, to say the least. Lots of room for improvement. The chicken korma I ordered was mediocre as best and we were only given one rice for two meals. Waitress said it was two rices in one container… ok? Hard to believe, but I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt. The garlic naan was really good, so no complaints there. We witnessed an angry customer on the phone with an employee and a couple next to us leave after not being served anything for over 15 minutes, which was kind of entertaining. The icing on the cake was when I noticed that a cockroach decided to join in on the fun dinner, which we believe to have come out of the basket of garlic naan I ordered. After we received a bland apology for it and nothing to compensate for the poor experience, we left without leaving a tip. It would have been a 3 star from me if there was no special guest, but bugs need to eat too, I suppose. The lack of empathy or care for a customer’s needs is very concerning especially for an Indian restaurant. I’m not from Boston but if I do return, it surely won’t be for Indian food.
