HARP + BARD — Restaurant in Boston

It appears when I was at this bar there was an issue with this Blond bartender with a backwards hat. When I was standing there for about 20 to 25 minutes waiting for someone to attend me both the woman and man will look past me and continue attending other people. As a couple left three others came to sit down, their orders were taken at that point I turned to my friend and said I’m done here. My other friend comes over to me and says where’s your drink? I responded with I have been standing there and they just haven’t been taking my order. He then walks over and instantly they go to him they take my order through him and I am standing there waiting for my drink. As he hands me my drink he says all right is that gonna be cash? Or card? I said no honey it’s going to be with cash today. He then continues to roll his eyes at me grab the cash and called it a night, I for one don’t think I did anything wrong for ordering. Lastly when my friend and I stepped out for a cigarette of course I don’t smoke. But he wanted me to come outside just for a second as others were standing there with their cigarette and drink at hand, this one employee came over to him snatched the drink out of his hand and continue to say “yeah thanks! there’s no beverages outside” then dumped it in the pot pottery whatever was outside and looked at him and said have a nice day continued on his way slamming the door. First off there is a better approach to handle this secondly my friends are not the only ones that were treated unfairly at this location. It’s a continuing issue here and other places. Where if I don’t fit the part weather my hair is not light enough my eyes are not light enough or my skin is not light enough I am not treated as an equal, even in the gay community and a gay location celebrating gay pride what a shame . but I will be spreading the word about this bar. This place is on point!!! The food absolutely is to die for, the staff besides one older blonde hostess was good. She was rude as all heck, almost made me walk out and leave had a male waiter not apologized for her inexcusable behavior. They have KENO i actually hit on 2 games. Bartender was very helpful as far as playing KENO again. I was a little foggy, its been awhile lol. I got the BLT my friend got the fried chicken BLT with the mac n cheese. It was so big that we both had halves left so we had a full sandwich and a whole serving of mac to bring home for a late night snack. To end the night out we had fried oreo sundae with ice cream. Coming from the south I was impressed. Absolutely scrumptious. The bartender made us Virgin drinks with pineapple and coconut 🥥. Yummy. The atmosphere was quaint and cozy THE MUSIC was absolutely key in the whole experience. The vibe with the lights the tunes and the food, and the rest of the wait staff and the big comfy booths made for a perfect evening!!! If it wasn't for that blonde hostess everything would be perfect. We ended up having to leave abruptly and the staff actually had containers and to go bags ready at a moments notice and we made it on time due to there Hustle. It would be 5 star rating in my book had that older blonde hostess acted like one. Other than that this place was an excellent night out on the town. Younger crowd mixed with couples of various sorts and the from scratch cooking and delicious delectable desserts made the evening memorable!!!! A little pricey but all in all WAS...

The photos of food on people's Google reviews look so good! Unfortunately, that was not the case for us. We ordered fries. They were not seasoned at all. We ordered nachos, and they were so dry. The waitress walked by the empty water glass that we perched on the edge of the table twice and didn't even see it or ask us if we wanted refills because she didn’t come to our table to check in on us (she did check in on other tables) or she would be away for a while. I had to ask the front desk guy for straws due to her absence. The waitress wasn’t nasty or rude, but she certainly didn’t try to be friendly. She also did not acknowledge or apologize for the wait, which was 20-25 min for the underwhelming nachos appetizer. Other notes: tvs with sports street parking loud music (early 2000s rock) very strong air conditioning (personally, I was cold and I saw another table ask to move because they were cold in their area) no reservation, no wait...
