Ah, the Wahlburgers at Boston Logan Airport Terminal E, a culinary experience that left me both bewildered and amused. Let me tell you about my epic journey into the world of burgers that seems to have been directed by a certain well-known actor. Aims for Excellence: Wahlburgers at Terminal E wants to be the Burger King, but it seems to be lost somewhere in the land of Burger Peasants. It's like the burger equivalent of a B-list actor striving for an Oscar. Quality, or Lack Thereof: Comparing the quality to other restaurants is a bit like comparing the acting chops of Mark Wahlberg in "Transformers" to Daniel Day-Lewis in "Lincoln." You get the picture. There's a distinct gap, and it's wider than the Grand Canyon. Tomato Travesty: I ordered a burger, and it seemed to come with a complimentary iceberg. The tomatoes were ice cold. It's like they had just been rescued from the heart of the Titanic. Leo, is that you? Salty Fries Situation: If you ever wondered what it's like to eat a salt lick, these fries will give you the experience. They were so salty, I had flashbacks of the Dead Sea vacation I never took. Staffing Sorrows: The staff was so unfriendly, it's as if they had attended a master class in the art of indifference. Eye contact? Pfft, that's for amateurs. They were so aloof, I half-expected them to walk away. Famous Owner? Really?: Finally, the owner's fame seemed to have no bearing on my experience. Wahlburgers could have been a side project for Mark Wahlberg, or perhaps an attempt to diversify from acting into a different kind of drama: culinary tragedy. He's made a gripping thriller with those ice-cold tomatoes and a horror movie with those salty fries. In conclusion, the Wahlburgers experience at Boston Logan Airport Terminal E is quite unique. It's a must-visit if you're in the mood for a bizarre food adventure. Just don't expect a blockbuster meal; this one's more of a straight-to-DVD experience. If the Wahlberg brothers are planning a sequel to their restaurant efforts, let's hope they consider a different script. And yes, it is 25 USD for a burger with fries but without a drink.

The wait time was suppose to be around 20-25. It was very busy in this terminal and just about every restaurant was packed to the max. We got seated in about 10-15 minutes. Not bad at all! Our server greeted us right away and did mention it was busy and that they would come back to take our order. We ordered our beverages and meal at the same time to save the hassle. We got our Bud Lights and the glass was bigger than we thought. It was definitely bigger than the size of my hand, and my hands are pretty small. I ordered the impossible burger with their home made pickles with a side of their home made buffalo sauce. The buffalo sauce alone was delicious with a really food kick to it. I highly recommend testing it out and having it on the side. I used it to dip my tator tots and put some on my burger at the end. The impossible burger was delicious. I would have to say it was definitely on the top of my favorite burgers. The impossible burger is a plant based burger that is suppose to mirror a regular beef patty. The flavors were outstanding. I loved everything about it. You could tell that it was not a burger, but it was pretty close. If someone ordered it for me I honestly would not be able to tell the difference. I would order it again when I get the chance to. Already spreading the word about the amazing impossible burger! Server was very friendly and apologized for it being busy. I understand where he was coming from and really happy that he came to do that. It was definitely out of his hands when it was that busy.

The thing this place had going for it is that it's fast, which is what you want from a place in the airport. When we went to other places in this terminal, they said that the food might take an hour to come out and asked if we had time before we board. Well we did have time before we boarded, but we didn't have the patience to wait an hour for airport food. It has a code to scan when you sit down to order and pay but the waiter confused us by saying he would come back to take our order and we waited for him just so we could submit in front of him. Also if you don't close your tab within half an hour of packing your order, it adds a tip which I think is stupid. It's like tipping at McDonald's.. they just bring your food to the table.. not a tip worthy service. I was also upset that they actually refill the bottles (which I know restaurants do) but they don't even use genuine stuff. They use cheap generic ketchup and if you know the difference, you know. For the quality of the food.. well it's your standard fast food. Also a limited selection, a burger, an impossible burger, chicken burger and fries or tots. So you better not be a picky eater.

We visited on 02/11/17 around 12:30pm. If you read my reviews, I love burgers so this makes me sad. We had the chance to visit this location and were looking forward to finally trying Wahlburgers. To say this location is embarrassing to the brand it would be an understatement. I'm sure the folks working here are great people, but this location is incredibly disorganized and appears to lack a commitment to service. I will give it a slight break given that it was 'lunch time'.

The cook could be heard asking for runners multiple times and people were waiting longer than expected to have a waitress visit their table to take their order. We watched one lady take a bite of her burger, throw it down into the basket, and then leave. In the time we were there, we watched and listened to people ask a few different waitresses for the same thing. There was no one leading the crew who seemed to not have a lot of experience. The issues we saw and experienced may be directly tied to the management of this location and not the crew themselves, but it needs some help.

As for the food, I think it's a little over hyped. The burger was fair, but the beef was greasy. It was cooked through for us, but lacked the 'wow-factor' I was hoping for. Almost reminded me of frozen burgers. Tots tasted pretty good and the fries were about average. I probably won't be back to this location or any other of their locations - there are too many other good burger options.

I won't discourage anyone from coming here, but please be prepared for some of the issues others have identified in their reviews - they are real and not made up. Depending on the time of day, this isn't a quick bite spot, it can take up to 45 minutes to...

i have to admit, this was probably one of the worst experiences i have had at a bar. my boyfriend and i were waiting for our flight & decided to grab some drinks, we sat down and got greeted by the bartender.. at first there was no issue, we received our order in a timely manner.. it wasn’t until our second drink that our experience started to decline. i ordered a grey goose dirty martini, i had one sip and felt like it was straight olive juice so i asked my boyfriend to order me a shot of patron to go along side, i wasnt going to complain bc i TOO am i bartender (and have been for over a decade) and know how annoying that is, the older lady bartender with glasses looked at him after he ordered my shot, gave him the dirtiest look and turned around to the point that the party besides my boyfriend and another party besides me said something to us and asked what that was all about.. i wasn’t very confused bc my bf and i are very polite and to ourselves, we always treat our hospitality people with respect. when she returned with the shot she pushed it to us and i kid you not there was nothing in it, i even asked a guest if i was going crazy bc that didn’t look like a shot and they agreed (will add a picture of what the shot looked like when she so called “handed it to us” she was treating everyone different compared to us and it make me number one angry but confused.. i decided to not say anything, paid for my sip of patron full price, closed out via QR code and walked to another bar in the airport. i don’t understand why we were treated that way. usually we over tip bc im in the industry so i wish we were...
