The best taco food truck ever! They cook up some tasty tacos here. I got the lengua, al pastor, and shrimp tacos. The fish and shrimp tacos both come with pineapple which makes them sweet and savory. I've tried the fish ones too, but I think I prefer the shrimp more just because those shrimp are the bounciest and tastiest.
The al pastor reminds me of my mom's stir fried pork - which is Korean, but I feel like the taste of good pork is universal. The lengua they give you is in abundance and it basically melts in your mouth by the way they tenderized them. Lengua is the way to go.
Hot sauce wise, I found the regular red hot sauce and salsa verde to be a little mild, so we get the habanero sauce and that one really packs a punch - careful if you get it! So delicious, though.

Read moreFor a taco truck, it’s pretty damn good. It’s not 5 star good TO ME, but it’s a 4 to 4.5 star, depending on the visit. Sometimes the chicken (in the chicken tacos) is downright mouthwatering, and a few times it’s been just ok or not super fresh/hot.
This place keeps pretty busy, so I may be an odd one out not giving them 5 stars, but there’s a million (ok, more like 10) LITTLE things that make it just not quite legendary. No need for me to list them out on here, but you’ll probably know what I mean. Give them time, though. I believe the owner used to own or run a Las Margaritas restaurant. I feel like the food here at Ambakity is more “authentic” than that, so in the interest of supporting their efforts, I will keep coming back and trying new things to see if there’s something to truly rave about. Will update as I get...
Read moreI've had the tacos, burritos and the Tortas. The tacos are piping hot, masterfully conceived and executed, and the quality of ingredients is superb. You can order any quantity of taco you'd like, and can taste and appreciate the level of scrutiny involved with the preparation of your meal. The Asada is marinated with bay leaves and cloves, which is easy to appreciate for anybody with even a moderately developed pallet. The Tortas are mountainous, dense with juicy flavor, and the bun hardly fits on top. The way they treat their customers is the style in which you'd greet an old friend. Their quality of food, price, and customer services earns them 5 stars from me. In my opinion their food not only contends, but wins my approval over the annual Seattle Taco Truck cookoff reigning champion "El Camion." I hope...
