My husband and I love the opportunity to eat out; but my kids are very picky eaters and would prefer home cooking. This way we are all satisfied and get what we want. we were lucky enough to go in at 3:45 p.m. and the dinner menu begins at 4. So we saved a little from the dinner prices. Every night there is a different theme of food. Like Friday is Italian night. They have manicotti, pasta with Alfredo, spagetti and meatballs as well as garlic bread. They also have their regular fare like kettle cooked turkey, mac and cheese, baked or fried chicken, mashed potatos and gravy and they have a carver who serves ham and other meats. The thing that really makes this buffet stand out is their cleanliness. I love that were not walking through spilled food and serving ourselves food from a bar that's covered with other patrons mishaps. Even the bathroom was a pleasure to use. They have a great selection of salad items and a wonderful desert bar. If you're a senior (which is 60) your meal is 15% off. Millitary discounts too. They charge by the age for 12 and under. Oh and they include the drinks. All in all worth trying as you will definitely...
Read moreJust spent over $50 for my family to eat dinner there. The server was excellent and we tipped accordingly. However, the other staff were way to uptight. First, up an entering the hostess flipped out when my kids ran past to give grandma a hug and head back to table; previously reserved. I had to spend the next few minutes calming her down and assuring her that she would get paid. Secondly, when we went to leave my younger son asked for a roll. I grabbed one for him and another server flipped out and said you can't take food out. I replied that it was a simple roll. She then proceeded to run to the hostess who then rushed out to stop us from leaving. We were already out the door when she stopped us and said that we couldn't take food outside. It was not as if I had an entire plate of food. I had a roll, which had several bites taken out of it. I'm not sure what kind of policy that is but having food police is a clear deterrant from me wanting to eat there again. Such policies should be clearly posted such that all patrons are clearly on notice that they will be followed if they remove a roll after paying...
Read moreAs a former dish washer, who was expected to work a 3 stations, so Chuck A Rama could save money, I am gonna let you guys know right now, us dish washers didn't have enough time to go from loading the dishwasher washer, to a sink to wash our hands, to unloading the dishwasher, due to the volume of dishes, the fact we had to run back to the pots and pans area, and simultaneously prep food... I was constantly behind no matter what I did... Due to the lack of time, us dish washers are forced to contaminate every clean dish, with the same dirty hands, that loaded the dishwasher... After I made it clear that this was an issue, they fired me, and now I got my check, and it doesn't add up to the hours I worked... But it's okay. I called the corporate office, I am going to call the health department, and I am going to stop at nothing to make sure everyone knows how unsafe and unclean the plates are at Chuck A Rama... A restaurant that size, needs 3 dish washers. 1 for pots and pans, 1 to load the dishwasher, and 1 to put the dishes away, to avoid contaminating the dishes with dirty hands and getting...
