As someone who has 5+ years of customer service experience, this was a truly uncomfortable and unprofessional encounter. The younger employees were very kind, quick, and professional while assisting us. However, the older manager (I believe her name is Liz), ruined the positive atmosphere. There was one employee who clearly did not feel well, but seemed to be doing his best. I have interacted with him before and he has always been pleasant, efficient, and it is clear he enjoys serving others. As the store was very busy at the time, the younger employees were working diligently to be as efficient and professional as possible. Meanwhile, the older employee/manager, was standing there while everyone else was working. She was micromanaging the employees while not doing any work herself. I continued to watch this environment hoping there would be a change, but unfortunately there was not. The older employee was simply standing there, was not helping in any sense of the word, and was speaking rudely not only to the employees, but also to customers. She stated she wanted to keep the line moving, but was doing nothing to make that happen besides yell at the employees, micromanage, and get in the way. While observing the environment, it was clear that I was not the only customer who was incredibly uncomfortable. I would never work under her as a manager and I hope those kind, hard working younger employees donāt have to for much longer. This experience made what used to be a positive environment, very unpleasant and uncomfortable for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI would give my firstborn to be able to have the same experience I had at Cutlers today again. I have been happily reminiscing about my time at Cutlers all throughout today, as it simply made my week. I was feeling peckish after a long day of working at the club and as I drove, vision blurry from my hunger, I could barely make out the glistening incarnadine letters above the building spelling out, simply, āCutlerāsā. Little did I know me turning into that driveway would be the best decision of my life. I got out of the car, stomach churning, I could feel the muscles in my body eroding as a substitute for food, I needed to eat. I carefully opened the door and there it was. I saw the two people who would assist me in obtaining my meal. Lucy and, more importantly, Noelle. I nearly tripped, blinded by their radiance, as I asked for, and I quote, a classic Turkey sandwich and frosted sugar cookie. Meeting them was like meeting an old friend after a long while, or a nice glass of wine on the 53rd floor of a New York apartment. Lucy assisted me in obtaining the best frosted sugar cookie, dare I say the best cookie, ever. It was comparable to the cookies grandma used to make. Noelle expertly (and correctly) got my order right, and due to her recommendation I got the sourdough. As I obtained my order I couldnāt help but cry. Those two wonderful ladies were the only thing that stopped me from starvation, they are an oasis in a desert. I thank you, Lucy, Noelle, and Cutlerās for a stupendous meal and stupendous...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere I was... lost, in a dark haze of hunger and sadness! I knew what had to be done. I rushed to Cutler's, throwing all my strength into withholding the forces of starvation. I staggered through the front door, and almost collapsed to the floor, when suddenly I was suffused in an aura of golden radiance. An angelic woman stood at the counter, waiting patiently to take my order. On my hands and knees, I crawled to the counter. My gaunt countenance was restored in the presence of this humble Cutler's worker. I begged her for a b-town club, that mighty staple of the starved, the pillar of the pillaged, the refuge of the ravaged soul. In a swift matter of seconds, Lucy made me the sandwich; placed it in my hands; and it warmed my very being with its pleasant aroma. Its taste was of ambrosia, that godly nutriment of which the Greek legends spoke. In its sweet condiments and tender meat, I experienced an eternity of euphoric glory. Lucy is truly a goddess, of whom we are fit only to plead for sandwiches. Common mortals like you and I are blessed beyond all measure just to have her making sandwiches. I would pay any price at Cutler's, not merely for the unconscionably good sandwich, but for the opportunity to ascend to another, more sacred version of our earth. All other restaurants are but disciples, walking, with head bent, in the mighty footsteps of Cutler's Cookies and Sandwiches.
