I was really torn about how many stars to put here, because the food was absolutely awesome. The low rating is due to a service issue that happened. My brother and I were trying P&P out on another friend's recommendation. We picked a table in the back that was quieter, put our two plastic bags of birthday gifts on the chair and bench to hold the table, then went to stand in line to place our order. While we were in waiting in line, one of the managers went over to our table, grabbed our bags and plopped them at another table (despite our protestations) so he could put our first selected table with another to seat a larger party. No request, no apology, nothing. The table he plopped us on was now very noisily next to this large party with many small children and the only other table available was one near the food prep area that was also noisy. I was VERY OFFENDED that this was done. Had we been sitting there, would the manager have asked or just put together other tables? I drove down from 45 minutes away specifically to meet my brother for a nice lunch. While the food was totally excellent, this potentially great, first-time experience was totally ruined by this rude manager. What do they say - you never have a second chance to make a first impression? Well, that's true here. While the food was to die for, the forcibly moving us to another table has left a really bad taste that can't be overcome. I will never come back and will explain our experience if anyone asks for a...

I have never had such a bad experience with customer service. My family and friends wanted to meet up here to eat food. I had 2 friends that didn’t want plates and palates so they brought food from another place. My wife and baby love the food there so we figured we just would meet up there. I was grabbing the high chair for my baby and was getting the table set up while my wife was in line ordering for her and my baby. As I was getting the stuff for my family the manager came up to me and said “your party isn't allowed to eat outside food here.” I replied “I completely understand that but my wife is in line ordering right now so we are paying customers.” He then said “well each one of you needs to order here and if you’re not going to do that you all need to leave.” I said “we are paying customers.” He said well each seat that your party is taking up is a seat that we can’t fill up with paying customers so you all need to leave.” I was so appalled by the way we were treated. Even if my friends didn’t come with their food from outside we still would have taken up a table regardless. And the fact that half of the eating area was empty made it seem even more ridiculous that he was kicking us out based on wanting to make more money. I just can’t believe he not only turned away a paying customer but a family. I’m just disappointed that we were kicked out for wanting to get together with friends. I didn’t see a sign that said every person in your lunch party must eat our food or get...

Was looking for a light lunch and had driven by many times. When you go in you order right there and take a seat. You are not given an order number or anything for your table. They do something to "know" who you are. They bring your drink and order out shortly. I arrived a little after 1 pm and the restaurant was full. This meant that the sound level was extraordinary high. I am not sure how other hear and did notice an older couple who did not converse during the meal. I have hearing issues and am not sure i would have been able to hear a companion. The restaurant emptied a bit by 2 making it should level more tolerable. The wait staff leave you alone but check on you more frequently as you near ending your meal. They offered a to-go drink. No bill brought to the table and they had the right order at the check out. There is a 3.5% charge if you use a credit card. I would have liked to have seen that sign at the order counter. The food was great. I had 1/2 salad and 1/2 sandwich. I had a turkey and cranberry panini. You can see the thicker turkey in the photo. Cranberry sauce was homemade with a slight touch of clove and other spice. So mild you would not initially notice. The cheese was unexpected. The pear and pecan salad was lite and had a crumbled blue cheese and bacon. Flavors blended well. The food was quite good and service was excellent. I would go again but will choose a more off peak time so it might...

I have finally gotten around to trying this place after seeing my friend posting about it. I tried the Greek Salad with chicken and the Reuben sandwich. If there is a place with a Reuben, I will judge them on it. I was only very mildly disappointed because the crust of the panini was a smidge too burnt for my liking but the interior was amazing! They didn't do a French dressing but their own mix and I LOVED it. They have passed the Reuben test for me and I would gladly eat it again. I had them take the kalamata olives off the salad because I love Greek food but I don't like the taste of them. They substituted the dressing for a Caesar one and I couldn't tell the difference. It was so delicious even without the olives! For dessert, I had to get the rum raisin bread pudding and it does NOT disappoint! It is very flavorful and has just the right hint of rum and the raisins complemented everything else. The bread was soft and just melted in my mouth. If you haven't checked this place out, you are definitely missing out!

Plates & Palates has become my top choice for dining in the area. The service is always consistently quick and friendly, and the food never disappoints. What sets them apart is not only their fresh food, but diverse dessert selection – it's consistently amazing every time. I first tried them out on a whim due to their great reviews and convenient location, and now I keep coming back for more. Even when I was sick with COVID-19 a few weeks ago, their light meal options ( I now usually always get get the Minestrone soup & the Turkey Apple Brie Sandwich) made battling my cold bearable alone. Thanks to Plates & Palates for always delivering delicious fresh food options and great service. I'll definitely be a regular! ( picture update as of 4/4/24: Strawberry Gorgonzola Chicken Salad with complimentary Sourdough Roll, Lemon Ginger Tea, and decadent Grapefruit Pistachio Cheesecake)
