Technically, they don't serve food but I wasn't going to ding their overall score just because they serve zero food. They literally reside under a restaurant that will deliver, down the stairs, plus they openly suggestion just having food delivered (which is what we did, had Chili's food delivered).
I just love this little place. It's the epitome of a dive bar but oddly clean, just old, and very very safe. You can literally touch the ceiling (it's called downunder because it's in a basement). It's also the most economical bar I've found in all of Utah, there might be special nights for even better deals but otherwise just a good local pub. We're newer to the area but you can tell that there's just a bunch of regulars and everyone really does know everybody else in there. A guest next to our table overheard part of our conversation and introduced themselves and had something to add. This can sound creepy but it just worked here, guy was nice and also knew when to head off back to his table (thanks Bruce).
We visit at least once a month and I highly recommend it, have whatever you want for food...
Read moreThis place is...it's funny. So it's in the basement of this building used by some other business that I couldn't tell what it was for. But it definitely wasn't open at 9 in the evening. Then you walk down an old stair case and feel like you're either going to your child's elementary school classroom, or Sunday school. In any case, it doesn't feel like you're entering a bar or concert venue. You walk in, and all the furniture is folding tables and folding chairs...probably from the takeover of the church that used to be here previously when they purchased the lease to this building. The bands were horrible...and even worse because my wife is acquaintances with the lead singer. The people however, were nice. I was in the bathroom commenting on how the entrance is odd. One guy in the urinal next to me said this is the best dive bar in all of Bountiful. Number 1 out of 3 that is. Then he asked if I had kids to which I replied no, and a man who had apparently been in the stall the entire time listening shouts, "Bountiful, number one spot to raise kids!" It was pretty inexpensive. All in all, a...
Read moreI was attending a wedding next door to Eldridge Square Manor, and the experience was ruined by cigarette smoke constantly drifting over the fence. Guests at the bar area were smoking excessively and causing a disturbance right beside the wedding celebration. I tried speaking to them, but they ignored me and showed no respect for the event happening just feet away. This level of disregard is unacceptable and completely inappropriate for a venue so close to a private...
