I love the sandwiches here. I love the customer service up front, they are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I probably won't go back due to the way someone spoke to a girl up front. A guy came up from the back and asked who had been in something (produce case?), when a female employee responded it was her, he sort of gruffly told her she left a door open. It was an odd way to point it out in front of everyone including customers and call out a probably harmless mistake. He could've easily said "Hey guys, someone left 'whatever' open, watch that door so we don't have 'whatever issue'" or saved the entire exchange for a more appropriate time. I'm sure this dude has never made a mistake in his life. /s It's not the behavior of a good leader. It's a gross power move, unprofessional, and borders on bullying. Additionally I've never seen this dude greet a customer and he has RBF. I sincerely hope it was an isolated incident, and maybe it didn't bother her a bit, but I was uncomfortable and will avoid having to see and hear it in the future. No food...
Read moreWe were introduced to Genos by our cousin. We had seen it but had never gone in for a meal.
We were surprised when our cousin said they server breakfast so, we went on a Tuesday morning for breakfast.
You order at the counter but they bring your food to the table.
They offer everything from the traditional American breakfast (eggs, choice of meat, potatoes, and biscuits/toast) to omelet and wrap and every Italian pastry. I have had their Chicken and Biscuit, the Denver omelet, and my husband has enjoyed the traditional breakfast and a breakfast warp.
To close out your meal have a cannoli.
The surprise came when we gave our order at the counter and with out asking the the professional that took our order ask if we were over 62 and preceded to give us the senior discount (senioy citizen discount days are Tuesday and Thursday).
The first experience was above and beyond any thing we expected! We have since been there for lunch and it was everything you would expect from an Italian deli!
Hope you go and enjoy a nice...
Read moreDeli is short for delicious. I might be wrong, but the food I had was far from deli. A so called gyro, which by the way isn't Italian but Greec. This gyro was awful 😞. A real gyro is freshly cut meat, porc or beef with lots of veggies and a sauce. The meat in this gyro is manufactured meat and has no taste what so ever. Salty and greasy. No taste what so ever The place itself is not clean. Have a look at the windows. You would never see this in a real Italian restaurant . Italians are proud to serve food in a clean and cosy atmosphere. A friend had a spaghetti. Over cooked and no flavor . One of the most simple things being served in an Italian restaurant and they manage to screw it up. Come on guys. I don't understand these 5 star ratings. Have you guys ever been to an Italian restaurant before and I don't mean Olive garden or Fazoli's. You should and then understand what Italian food is about. To conclude, the service is friendly as far as handing you a plate. There is lots of opportunities for a real Italian...
