This place is IT y'all. Geno's Deli is making me consider some of the other 5 star reviews I give because this place is actually amazing. If you don't read further - go eat here ASAP. Pros: 1. The food is so fresh! Meats are cut right there and the breads felt recently baked. Really good looking sides too! 2. They offer a wide range of sandwiches. I got the stromboli and others at my table got the peppered steak and regular steak. Which all looked and tasted great. 3. The pasta salad was divine. 4. The desserts are HUGE and very cheap. A piece of German chocolate cake was filling the entire container and it was only like $3.50. Cons: None. You have to try this place out if you're near Bowling Green. I will be returning STAT to try the Reuben, peppered steak, Italian sub, the antipasto salad, the pickle and olive salad, and that German chocolate cake. I can't wait!

Wow! Hadn't been here in a very long time and I am regretful for the delay. There was a good line when I walked in for lunch. Employees where hard at it behind the counter trying to cook and take orders and prepare everything. There is an expansive menu from pasta to paninis to subs to hotdogs and lots of sides and desserts! Food was cooked well and my panini was delicious. The cheesecake was excellent too with what appeared to be homemade whipped cream as it was a thicker consistency then store bought. Everything was good as evident by the full dining room and folks sitting outside as well. Prices are very reasonable too! Second visit was not as great as my first experience.. this time, it took an absorbent amount of time for a California hotdog that was mid on a much less busy morning. Cookie was absolutely delicious.

Geno's is Bowling Green's hidden gem and one of my go-to restaurants. I first stopped by in 2010 when I was told they make their own cannolis and have enjoyed it multiple times a week since. The owner, Tony, makes almost everything homemade: pizza crusts, most desserts, sides and soups. He also gets some veggies locally when they are in season, tomatoes for example, and several items that he doesn't make himself are still produced in smaller batches and are far better than you'll find in most restaurants (pickles and giardiniera). If you go on one of the Saturdays with a Cystic Fibrosis benefit then you're in for a grilled off-menu treat at a great deal that 100% goes to research for a cure. Geno's is the best of Bowling Green's hole-in-the-wall restaurants and you owe it to yourself to pay them a visit.

I love the sandwiches here. I love the customer service up front, they are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I probably won't go back due to the way someone spoke to a girl up front. A guy came up from the back and asked who had been in something (produce case?), when a female employee responded it was her, he sort of gruffly told her she left a door open. It was an odd way to point it out in front of everyone including customers and call out a probably harmless mistake. He could've easily said "Hey guys, someone left 'whatever' open, watch that door so we don't have 'whatever issue'" or saved the entire exchange for a more appropriate time. I'm sure this dude has never made a mistake in his life. /s It's not the behavior of a good leader. It's a gross power move, unprofessional, and borders on bullying. Additionally I've never seen this dude greet a customer and he has RBF. I sincerely hope it was an isolated incident, and maybe it didn't bother her a bit, but I was uncomfortable and will avoid having to see and hear it in the future. No food...

We were introduced to Genos by our cousin. We had seen it but had never gone in for a meal.

We were surprised when our cousin said they server breakfast so, we went on a Tuesday morning for breakfast.

You order at the counter but they bring your food to the table.

They offer everything from the traditional American breakfast (eggs, choice of meat, potatoes, and biscuits/toast) to omelet and wrap and every Italian pastry. I have had their Chicken and Biscuit, the Denver omelet, and my husband has enjoyed the traditional breakfast and a breakfast warp.

To close out your meal have a cannoli.

The surprise came when we gave our order at the counter and with out asking the the professional that took our order ask if we were over 62 and preceded to give us the senior discount (senioy citizen discount days are Tuesday and Thursday).

The first experience was above and beyond any thing we expected! We have since been there for lunch and it was everything you would expect from an Italian deli!

Hope you go and enjoy a nice...

Deli is short for delicious. I might be wrong, but the food I had was far from deli. A so called gyro, which by the way isn't Italian but Greec. This gyro was awful 😞. A real gyro is freshly cut meat, porc or beef with lots of veggies and a sauce. The meat in this gyro is manufactured meat and has no taste what so ever. Salty and greasy. No taste what so ever The place itself is not clean. Have a look at the windows. You would never see this in a real Italian restaurant . Italians are proud to serve food in a clean and cosy atmosphere. A friend had a spaghetti. Over cooked and no flavor . One of the most simple things being served in an Italian restaurant and they manage to screw it up. Come on guys. I don't understand these 5 star ratings. Have you guys ever been to an Italian restaurant before and I don't mean Olive garden or Fazoli's. You should and then understand what Italian food is about. To conclude, the service is friendly as far as handing you a plate. There is lots of opportunities for a real Italian...
